Bypass audissey and set it to 60hz :D on my HK I would have no ther choice as it works with 20hz increments I would set it to 60hz lol.

I guess 70hz is all good :D

Audessy isn't perfect by any means. I ran Audessy, took those settings, and then did my own tweaking to obtain desirable results on my Mirage setup.

Just a tweak after audissey has been run, I am saying this for fun, I would just leave evrything Audissey did but I would just try for fun and see what it does when set to 60hz insteand of 70hz. Might get surprising results.

BTW his other 2 are set to large not sure Audissey would actually set them to large.

Congrats on the new center Steve, I'm sure it's a huge improvement over the phantom center. That also looks like a new stand (first time I'm seeing it at least), gives your set-up a nice, clean look. I need a new one myself, as my TT is currently sitting on my sub.

aces high 06-18-2011 06:17 AM

So what have you been testing your center out with tonight?

aces high 06-18-2011 02:10 PM

I did manage to stay awake long enough to watch Drive Angry last night and at the end was left thinking that I should have gone to sleep. The movie is terrible and a waste of 1.5hrs, you never know you may enjoy it but I thought it was bad.

Don't tell Jeff (waboman) that. He liked it. I didn't care much for it. It's a good popcorn flick if you have no expectations and your mind is half brain dead:rolleyes:. The later explains Jeff:p.

Yeah, there is an improvement in off axis sitting over having the phantom center, however, Ill say this, if I was sitting on axis, There was really not much difference, thats how good the X16s are at imaging and seperation. Yeah, I have a new TV stand... so happy to have it too. I recently had to wrap a Play Pen around the TV stand to keep my son from touching everything.

I watched Hall Pass, it was funny in parts, went exactly how I expected. However in the club scene, when music was pumping dialog was clear as a bell. Im really loving this center channel.... its always present.. never gets outplayed.

hes almost 11 months and learning to walk and get around, so now everything he sees has to be touched. Since my X22 center channel has a Soft Dome tweeter, I don't want it poked in.... Id have to perform falatio on the tweeter to get it back into shape, and I don't want to do that. I think he ruined the Needle on the TT, so Im gonna have to replace it.... I think.

callas01 06-19-2011 04:35 AM

so today was a fun day... went out to a picnic with the in-laws, when I got home, the wife left and took the kids to make me a couple of fathers day cakes at the local store. Built a fire pit for the backyard with my middle child, Meeghan, she was helping me find nuts and screws and I even let her use the socket wrench to tighten up some of the nuts. Then helped clean up the inside of the house, made some shedded beef tacos and homemade refried beans(they were made a few days ago).... man Im exhausted.

So what is everyone doing tomorrow???? We are going to church then off to Newport or Long Beach to play in the water and have lunch on the beach. I requested that we make either Taquitos with guacamole and sour cream or terriaki Chicken Kebobs with grilled vegitables and white rice...

What Fathers day gift are you being given?? Obviously I got the center channel this year... exactly what dad wanted.

Happy Fathers Day guys.

Going to Lowe's to get a gift card for my father. Nothing but chores, movie, and possibly listen to some music on the Sapphires. I got a "wonder years" marathon going this week. Excellent tv show. I suppose I better work on my father's business website also. I'll probably eat dinner with the parents tomorrow night after they get back from their lake place.

Happy Father's Day to the real Big Daddy here. If you ever get tired of raising the three angels, you can send a couple of them over to us. :D

Well Mick assumed that it was setup the way it was (which he ended up right) but neglected what you posted. The way you said it was could have very well been a reality. Just keeping things in check. Shouldn't assume things and act all knowing when he didn't know for sure. Rhettard said I got schooled by Mick...I just wanted verification on if the Unitiqute powered the C1's properly as that might be something I'm interested in down the road. He supposedly called your dealer to verify it was setup the way he mentioned. Could I have responded to him in a better manner? Yes. Was I being somewhat a prick? Yes I was somewhat. I was in a bit of a mood yesterday. I've been snapping on people easily the past 3 weeks since an incident went down. I haven't been happy lately.

Well the tough thing is, as I said, what I saw the dealer turn on, was what I posted, I never saw him fire up the T+A receiver. I thought it odd that he had called the Sunil and asked, because when I was there on Thursday, Sunil told me he would be leaving early on Thursday(when I was there) and wouldn't be back until Wednesday cause his daughter had graduated.... so Im surprised that Sunil actually answered and knew what was all hooked up in that setup, and what I was listening to... who knows.

well now that I know that the setup was being driven by the T+A R2160 R, I want to buy that stereo reciever... that thing has some serious pop. I have liked the T+A gear from the first time I have heard them. Their speakers are really good also. Why don't you give me $2500 so I can try and buy it!

I was just kidding, I thought it was funny that you guys got into it.

Well I questioned him calling also but I didn't go there as I wasn't in the mood. So if Sunny was gone...Mick called him up say on his cell phone....Sunny reports how it is setup going buy what he knows and how it usually is....who is to say this guy that helped you didn't have it setup the way you first mentioned it? Rhettard said I got "schooled" and I'm a "Dynaudio expert". Pretty sure I brought up valid points given Mick essentially ignored what you posted and nothing I said was on Dynaudio speaker knowledge. I swear Rhett doesn't read 90% of what is posted in conversations. Rhett...read and pay attention fool!

That's a no-go on the $2500. I've got hard drives, mac mini, and an ipad to buy.

awesome.... Did you see that I actually auditioned the C1 Sigs on a T+A Stereo Receiver?? Did you see that receiver?

Ill give you a write up on the C1 Sigs and Sapphires later, itll be hard for me to write up the Sapphires, as I am not sure I got the most from them.

Well the review I thaught I wrote on the contour s1.4 was actually the C1 as i mentinned I got fooled by the look and I looked too fast.

I guess they sounded too great to be the S1.4 lol.

well, I may have had a better audition with the C1 Sigs then you, considering I had an uninterrupted 20-30 mins with them....

On a side note, I have been sitting here watching Rattatouille, and wow, the center channel handled the shotgun blasts perfectly. I want to listen to it again tomorrow at a higher level, this was about an hour ago, so it was louder then it is now. Of course the Sub took up some of the punch, but I could hear the center speakers punch there too. It was awesome.
