Just got finished installing the balanced cables a few minutes ago, what a mess back there. It looks like a snake pit, one of these days I might consider doing something about it but somehow doubt it'll happen until the next time I've got to completely break the system down.

How's yours looking?

you know people want to say how awesome their wire management is, I really don't care, the wires aren't twisted together, I keep them seperate, but I don't want to spend 4 hrs devoted to wire beautification to gain an extra point in the ratings. I want to use my system and enjoy it, not look at wires!

Look, my system doesn't look like much to begin with, so Im not going to get the best ratings in the world anyways, so its not like wire management is gonna get me all 10s. Besides I don't care, I know what my system can do, and that is the most important thing. Its gonna get a huge boost when I get the Nait 5i in the setup.

I actually admire people with good cable management skills, and it looks pretty good too. I, on the other hand, am too damned lazy to even undertake such a project. :o

I have two mental diseases, one is OCD, and the other is much stronger, which is laziness.
When I see all those wires, my second mental disease kicks in and takes over.

That's why it's been that way for years :p . That was supposed to be one of my projects for 2010 , 2011 (well you get the picture). I'd look at that mess,sit down and get :drunk: :smoking3:. At one point I was trying to get either Brent or Lawrence over here but they declined :rotfl: But I did take care of the living room though :shrug2:

I call myself doing it with the new AVR. After I finished, I looked at it, and can swear I made it worst.

Its the end of the month, so Ill be trying to salvage my month, which is hopeless. I had to credit a customer $15k, so that killed my profit's and sales, so Im toast this month. Next month has some huge orders on the horizon, so I should be good to go.

The 5i looks like Ill be getting next week.

Funny, that Dynaudio dealer posted that on AVS like a month ago for use to see his unveiling.

Funny, its probably close, but it would be better to have a whole forum where they could put threads like the Audio DACs, Integrated Amps, TTs and other 2-ch orieneted gear there like CDPs, NAS systems ect...

The problem with those groups is that they are selective and you have to be invited and they aren't out in the open and exposed to the entire community or to those that haven't created an account.

Do you really believe that? That's not what motivated me, or probably others either( I never bothered to turn ratings on ).
I just didn't want to be embarrassed( call it what you want: pride, vanity, OCD, neat freak, too much time on hands :p:D ) by having wads of cables showing everywhere in photos.:o
I consider it( along with dusting ), as photo preparation. Most spruce up( haircut, shave, nice clothing, etc. ) before having their picture taken.
Why not take similar steps before taking photos of one's system, to share with others.:shrug::)

Ditto! That's why most do it, so they don't have to look at wires while enjoying their system( too distracting ).:D:)

All joking aside, I get what you are saying. It's not a priority for everyone. It is though, a necessary evil( to some degree ) for most, that have their systems integrated in living spaces.

No I understand. Part of the issue is that my wires run under the house to the back, so that is why there are wires running over to the left of the setup from the back of the stand. The other wires will disappear as I start to fill out the shelf's space with the Monster power conditioner/surge supressor and the Naim Integrated Amp. Ill end up doing a little management, but I won't spend 5 hrs doing it.

It just sucks because you have computer audio in one place, IA's and DACs in another, and TTs in another. There isn't any one place to actually ask questions and read information. I know it won't be the biggest forum on the site, but it would still be good.

As for what I'm spinning ...... I did some Herb Alpert, Yellow Magic Orchestra and Cal Tjader whilst taking the photos. Later on ....... I have no idea yet .

I saw that clamp it looks great. I want to get a new acrylic platter and then ill add a clamp.

Yea, commission will hurt this month. But we have some good things in the works this month. Nice rebound.

Can't wait to get the 5i. The 2-ch will improve a lot. Then just get an rDAC and 2-ch will be set.

Then I just need an oppo, surrounds(DM2/6) and a bigger tv. Then HT will be done unless I get one if the new jl e series subs.
