I'm know it does too, I know how your speakers are, and we both know I know about the 5008.

Just for kicks, have you thought about adding height or trying it out? I have not a clue when I will get around to it, I'm pretty much all caught up in my mountain bike riding. At this point, I'm glad my setup is pretty much in order, where I can just come home and enjoy whenever the wife and I want to watch a movie.

ics can make a huge difference , just changing from basic to descent made a big difference for me, and the ones you guys are talking about are in another level .

I picked up the Transparent premium series Super XLR's IC and there amazing cables Callas . I cant stress enough how good they sound, best I can say is demo some and I think you will be amazed to especially if you can do a A&B comparison.

ive thought about it but ive found matrixing the signal just sounds a bit off i like to play each source as intended . if a movie is 5.1 that's how i play it the only time i use 7.1 is if its recorded that way .

yeah, Im kinda thinking getting the digi coax and ICs for the DAC here soon, getting speaker cables a little later, then add a shunyata venom power cable to the integra. then get a power conditioner next year sometime. Ill use the AQ sidewinders for the Integras pre-outs to the Naim, then keep the smaller ICs from the phono stage to the Naim.

I have heard Transparent and Shunyata power cables of every price, the most expensive speaker cables were like $5000/pr or something like that.... NOT CHEAP. Ive also heard the $350 ones, and several in between.

I think the ones I picked up retail for a little or 700 although not what I payed even if I payed 700 there worth every penny and would do it again and my only complaint is I cant afford to use them for every channel at this time.

yeah, the transparents are very good. I have not heard the Nordost, but I would think theyre both equally as good. Those would be my 2 choices. Just depends on the deals.

watching dark knight for the first time since I got the Naim, and WOW, the punch in the bass is very powerful. I noticed the sub wasnt on after a few scenes, but the wife never did, that whole opening sequence in the parking structure was amazing, and the sub wasnt even playing...

You need a real sub if you can't tell the difference if it's on or off.:p:D

watched The Dark Knight in preperation to go see the new Dark Knight Rises, it was the first time I have seen this movie since adding my Naim Nait 5i-2, I was surprised by how much added slam was available in this movie. Shotgun blasts in the opening scenes, when Batman jumps on that van in the parking garage and smashes the roof..... incredible.

She was a great artist and still is even if she has past away over 15 years ago, her interpretation of Over the Rainbow is really nice.
