It's getting replaced by the naim unitiserve and dac. I'm trading my bordeux sapphires for the blue ones Tyler has. I must have everything you do Rhett

I am thankful for that recommendation to you and Sean, I had to verify your statement about it so I turned to Sean and asked if he liked his rDAC :p

If you say so, but seriously I like it I mean it's much better than what I had, which was nothing, I will rip those CD and put them on my PC.

Speaking of non Sense, I do not have the budget to try to compete with you, I would need something like an Octave v70 to get those Metal or Wind Designs going, I would have to get myself a Naim DAC. This would cost me both arms and both legs, I would have to remortgage my condo. :p

callas01 03-03-2011 02:48 AM

ok, I have it setup, I have it next to the TV stand on the floor, TT is not connected, and the Xbox's are not connected... but thats OK, Don't play much anymore anyways.

SO FAR, it sounds great, but it seems like I have to turn it up louder then I should be to get to the volume I want it at.

What is louder than expected? I mean to gain 3 db over the Sony you need to have double the wattage. What is the problem? I am sure it drives more current.

The db configuration on that Receiver is not the same as your Sony, numb nuts! Besides, you need to run the audyssey(if not done yet) and further level match with an SPL meter:rolleyes:

Listening to Sting right now... WOW, it sounds so sweet. Delicate and much fuller sounding..... Much more musical sounding then the Sony... Warmer and the Tinny sound has vanished.

HEHE Sweet, glad you enjoy it Steve, I liked the sound of that 50.2 with the Sttaf, I had not problem recommending you to listen to thse AVR. I am sure your dealer felt the same way about Integra.

Now I want to see a pic :p

How much has the bass improved over the Sony? Your new receiver should be able to drive the bottom end of those Dyn's a lot better. Have you tried using Audyssey while listening to music yet? What do you think of it?

Yes, but with audyssey engaged, it plays the sub, Unless I go an manually change it. so in direct, the bass is a little better, but Im listening to Sting, so I will have to check out Kings Of Leon and Star Tracks... Let me play those.

Hold on.

callas01 03-03-2011 03:32 AM

Star Tracks has SO MUCH MORE slam in the 2nd track then the Sony did....WOW, its sounds more like the Naim XS, not quite as much slam as the XS and 220 MK1, but it as some good slam to the speakers now.... WOW

They sound like small subwoofers.... I LOVE THIS RECEIVER

No, not quite, but you should hear the bass that this thing puts into the speakers..... its incredible. Even the delicate bass is thicker sounding. and the slamming bass.... well... its not the Focus series type bass, but it hits pretty damn good.
