Yup, I updated this in my Pilot Season Arrival thread earlier today, it was the first official pickup for the network. You should probably copy and paste the announcement I listed in my thread so people will have all the available info on the show, as well as photos of the two stars.

First look at the Undercovers. Now is it just me or do you think Chuck and the Undercovers would make a great back to back Monday night lineup??

She was in one of my favorite British shows, "Spooks"

I don't really remember her from there though. Don't thinks he was one of the main characters.

I could have sworn I read a post from you a while back hoping that they didn't put them on back to back when Undercovers starts.

I said that? Hmmm, maybe. Well if I said that on a Tuesday or Friday, it was one of my Blue Meth days, so I was high. But I recall saying that they better not replace Chuck with Undercovers, not about them putting em on back to back, don't know why I would of had a problem with that, but like I said, Blue Meth.

Looks like JJ directed the pilot and according to the news report it cost close to $10 million for the pilot alone. So this should be good. I can't wait.

It's possible you are right even though I still think you did, but no big deal either way. If you didn't say it, then maybe I was on some Blue Meth too. Chuck and Undercovers would be a great fit back to back, but Undercovers instead of Chuck would be . Hopefully it doesn't come to that as I would like to give this show a chance.

Here’s an extended sneak peek (about five minutes worth) of J.J. Abrams’s new spy-comedy show “Undercovers”, his follow-up to his spy hit “Alias”. The show definitely seems to be going for a combination of laughs and action, so you probably shouldn’t expect any real danger for the show’s married couple leads. Starring Boris Kodjoe and Gugu Mbatha-Raw as the CIA husband-and-wife team who comes back to work to spice up their marriage (what, marriage therapy not dangerous enough?), and Gerald McRaney as their humorless boss. I gotta admit, though, props to Abrams for casting two African-American actors in the lead; now that’s something you don’t see everyday on Mostly Whitebread America TV.

From acclaimed filmmaker J.J. Abrams (Star Trek, Fringe, Lost, Alias) and Executive Producer Josh Reims (Brothers and Sisters) comes a one-hour spy drama that proves marriage is still the world’s most dangerous partnership.
To put the spark back in their marriage, some couples take a tropical vacation. Not Steven and Samantha. They rejoin the CIA. Now they’re discovering things about each other they never knew. Like which lock-picking technique each prefers, and who killed who, and how well they work together in a hostile environment.

With their day jobs and lives in the balance, date night is about to get a lot more exciting.

Check source for Video Link.

Enjoy.

I decided that after I was massively wrong about The Big Bang Theory, I should give HIMYM a chance too. The only thing I even enjoy about the show is NPH who frickin rules as Barney, and Cobie as Robyn cause she is gorgeous! I don't really find anybody else' characters interesting, and Ted is such a whiny little girl missing his sack entirely that he makes Leonard seem studly, lol. So between the two BBT is my favorite big time, but I've only watched one season of HIMYM and finished it yesterday, though I don't see it getting much better, but I'm willing to be wrong.

Season 2 and 3 are fantastic, and season 4 has it's moments. Specifically The Naked Man which is my favorite of the series.

Barney becomes essentially the main character in season 3 or so.

An I LOVE Alyson. I'm a big Buffy fan.

I like Alyson, I like Jason, I just don't like their characters based on the first season. I don't like Ted really at all. I REALLY don't like Bob Saget so hearing his voice as old Ted is really obnoxious. I'll atleast give this till the end of season 2 to try and hook me, but Big Bang Theory took grabbed me from the pilot and this had 22 episodes and has yet to want to make me return other than for more Barney and curvy as hell Robyn.

Which part about her backside? No, cause I commented on that when the very first preview hit, just scroll up.

I feel season 3 is the highpoint in HIMYM. Ted becomes less of a b!tch, Barney gets more prominant, and the slapbet continues.

And season 2 has "Leeeettttsss go to the maaaaallllll!" and the start of the slapbet. Which rocks. Actually. Those are the same episodes!

Interesting, I assumed JJ's name on this would have gotten the show off to a much bigger start....I might just wait to see how this pans out before I watch it, this wasn't exactly a good start. Might not be around long either.

Undercovers premiered with a 2.0 of the 18-49 with 8.57 million viewers. Lower premiere than Mercy?? we all know how that played out.
Quote:
Perhaps my love of Lost motivated me to say the debut of JJ Abrams Undercovers was middling in the headline, its 2.0 rating is a disappointing start made worse by being down 13% from last year’s premiere of Mercy.
