Default Supernatural tv series Blu versus DVD help?

Anyone notice any different between Supernatural on BD versus Supernatural on upconverted DVD? The reason I'm asking is that I have season 3 and 4 on blu and because of the way it was filmed, it's far from stellar, in fact, you can't even tell its HD most of the time, so I was just curious if the dvd version upconverted looks the same so I can save myself a few bucks on season one as I saw a steal at walmart today for it. Just don't want to get the dvd if someone is going to tell me it's horrific in every way!

Supernatural looks pretty darn good in broadcast HD - I'm surprised you don't think the Blu's look good, but I haven't gotten into them yet myself so I can't compare experiences (was waiting for S1 to be released which I will pick up soon, as I don't start series in the middle).

Personally, I just won't buy a show in SD that was filmed in HD anymore, but that's just my personal feeling on it.

I agree on all accounts. I'm also waiting on S1 to be released on Blu before I start watching, but the season 4 I sampled on Blu looked pretty good.

SuperNatural on Blu-Ray looks fantastic, even better than the HD Broadcast. But if your looking for it to be as pretty as Avatar, Watchmen or anything else, you will be disappointed.

Heck, even the DD5.1 track is great (for a DD track)

This. It's a fantastic presentation of a great show, not sure where the OP is coming from at all. Season One this Tuesday, can't wait to replace my old DVD set.

So i saw on a commercial it said it had over 3 hours of bonus features. Is that just for the Blu Ray or dvd also. Plus it said Exclusive Blu Ray Features. I have the other 5 seasons on dvd and was just wondering.
