I pre-ordered mine the other day, Friday to be exact! Even though I dont know whats going to be included in it, I just had to get my grubby mitts on it.
9/20/11 can't come fast enough, a week before my b-day looks like I'm taking a few days off. Apparently you get a beta code with a pre-order from EB for this game.

Yeah, we have a decent size group playing in the beta, quite a few of us received Beta tokens for buying Bulletstorm

i put 5 dollars down on pre order for gears 3....and gamestop gave me the beta.

Hopefully, there'll be a bit more included then what Gears 2 had.

Gears 1:
Bonus DVD with making of, and a artbook housed in a metal tin

Gears 2:
Bonus DVD, art book, Dom photo, gold lancer code, and metal tin replaced by steelbook

I hope Gears 3 gets a better package than Gears 2 did.

For those who bought the ultimate edition of bulletstorm (like me) we get to start playing Monday, April 18th at 9am. Everyone else that just preordered gears 3 or has a code for the beta is allowed to play April 25th. And I believe the beta wraps up may 15th.

Did anyone manage to snag VIP beta code that EPIC was giving away over their twitter accounts? I guess its earlier acces to beta by playing this weekend as opposed to waiting til monday. They stopped at 10 pm est. on Friday and gave codes to random people who were following them and at 9:55 they gave away 5 codes to whoever was lucky enough to grab em. I was at work unfortunately

A buddy of mine sent me the code for the Beta. Played a bit yesterday and man the pace is pretty damn fast. You blink and you are dead if the opposing team has a bit of experience. Seems I assisted more than anything when it came to killing anyone. My time is a bit limited on when I can play, since I've got a little guy.

MUCH improved over the 2nd gears, I must say.

I don't think there is anything wrong with that. I personally think the online multiplayer is the best thing about the game though. It's very intense and gets your heart pumping. The first gears game online was the best, 2 they changed up the gameplay online, and didn't make it so close quarters and fast paced. The third one so far is pretty solid online though, I am very please with it. You should give it a try.

Nah, I agree with snowball!! I don't play much online because I don't want to play certain games in from of my 21 month old. I tend to play games like this when he is taking a nap or later when everyone is asleep. So I'm probable at a level 7 at the moment. Was too beat from mowing my front, back and side of my house. The most play I got was during his nap. Now be prepared that you are going to have some folks who might be more hardcore than you. I'm usually at the bottom or middle in my gaming prowess. Most folks are cool, but you will get the usual person who takes it a little too personally and not team players. Hopefully you experience will be a bit better than mine though

Gears3 Beta is going well so far. It's very fast paced which I enjoy, much like the online play from Gears2. Shotgun fest as usual, just have to be quick on your toes
