Snow White and the Huntsman

Snow White (Kristen Stewart) is an incredibly beautiful young woman, with raven hair, fair skin, and ruby red lips. Her beauty is ultimately its own curse. She loves Prince Charmant (Sam Claflin), a boy of the same age as her and from whom she was separated as a teen. Snow White has been forced to live under the hard rules of Ravenna (Charlize Theron), where her only friends were the animals that would come to see her. Snow White's life is turned upside down when Ravenna discovers that Snow White is about to become the fairest. She is driven from the castle and Eric (Chris Hemsworth), the huntsman, is sent to kill her. He is haunted by the death of his wife, Sara, with whom he was deeply in love and cannot silence the pain caused by her loss. He drinks heavily and spends his days hunting for the White Wolf that killed her. He is purely mercenary, taking the money Ravenna offers to bring the most beautiful maidens in the land to the castle. However, when Eric discovers that the White Wolf works for Ravenna, he escapes with Snow White to the Dark Forest and begins preparing to get his revenge.

Ian McShane (Deadwood) has signed on to play Caesar, the leader of the dwarfs. Eddie Izzard (Valkyrie), Bob Hoskins (Who Framed Roger Rabbit?), and Toby Jones (Captain America: The First Avenger) are in final negotiations to join McShane’s gang of dwarfs. Eddie Marsan, Stephen Graham and Ray Winstone have been cast as the last three dwarves.

Kristen Stewart is someone who's work I'm not very familiar with. I've seen her in The Runwaways and Welcome to the Riley's but that's as far as my familiarity with her goes. I do however have no idea if I've ever seen Sam Claflin in anything before. Besides those two, this is quite the cast of actors being assembled, especially that of the dwarves. I know this film is coming out three months after the other competing Snow White film, but that cast doesn't have nearly the star power. Even though I must say that films Snow White (Lilly Collins) would have been the perfect fit for this movie.

PASS PASS PASS PASS PASS PASS PASS PASS... Kristen Stewart PASS PASS PASS PASS. Sounds like a great film otherwise.

I know right, between just 3 of the 7 dwarves we've got Al Swearengen, Beowulf and Al Capone.

Adventureland was good. And she was good in Into the Wild as well.

Oh wow, I completely forgot she was in Adventureland and Into the Wild. I am more familiar with her work then I realized.

She was Jodie Foster's daughter in Panic Room. Well if you were like me you would have thought she was a boy.

I think she gets a bad rap because of Twilight. Well all the actors do in that series.

She's had her good films. She's also had her awful ones.

Speak was great too.

Like I said, I'm not really familiar with her work. I know that she has a rather large fan base because of the Twilight films, but having never seen them I cannot comment on her abilities but she seems to be able to carry that franchise. I have never heard of Speak, but I thought she was pretty damned good in Welcome to the Riley's, she had great chemistry with James Gandolfini and really brought her to my attention for the first time as a decent actress.

That is exactly why I won't see this one. Her perfomances in the Twilight movies. She is so wooden, just plain bad imo.

I've heard that before, which is different from the performances I've seen her give in other films. While she doesn't blow me away and she's definitely no Jennifer Lawrence, I will give her the benefit of the doubt, because the rest of this cast is just too damn good for me to ignore based on her alone since she hasn't been wooden in the few roles that I've seen.

I'm surprised (and pleasantly so) that this thread isn't yet littered with obligatory "Hollywood is officially out of ideas" posts.

This sounds pretty interesting. I want to add 'and pretty original' but I'm not sure saying 'you know, those Grimm boys told some pretty freaking dark stories before Disney got at them' really constitutes being original.

Thats how her character should be carried if u familiar with the novel, and she carries it well.

Besides, like some mentioned, shes good in many films: Adventureland, Into the Wild, Welcome to the Rileys, Panic Room, The Runaways.

You just hate Twilight, no matter what u gonna hate everything they do thats sad
