I am a huge fan of this horror movie, their are another '3' fans. Surely with our four peoples buying power we can coax the film maker to deal out a friggin bluray update before 2013?!!?!
http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/In-the...Blu-ray/28330/ Might watch it tonight on dvd. Come to think about it, does anyone have a link for all of John Carpenter's films handy?? |

I have this, I haven't seen it for years, I might watch it tonight. I had to import the DVD as I don't think they ever released it in the UK.

I fear chances of seeing this on Blu are quite slim since it was only released on DVD in a few countries (US, Germany,...?).
I would love to be proven wrong, though. This is by far my favorite Carpenter made after 1990. I really like the atmosphere in it. It's very Lovecraftian.
Most wanted blu-ray upgrades: Seconds, Suspiria (remaster), Danza macabra, L'orribile segreto del Dr. Hichcock, Nosferatu (1979), Il boia scarlatto, La frusta e il corpo, Sei donne per l'assassino, Dracula (1979), The Haunting (1963), Jungfrukällan, L'avventura, Spoorloos, Les yeux sans visage, Prince of Darkness, The Changeling (1980), Ringu, Ju-on, Psycho II, Psycho III, The Maze (1953, 3-D)

Interestingly enough the broadcast HD version has been playing on cable in the U.S. recently (Starz and Encore) and surprisingly in OAR. I'd think there'd be a decent chance of seeing a German release, as they have released a bunch of horror films on the format that haven't seen release elsewhere.

It'll be an immediate preorder if it ever appears. John Carpenter's last great film. Excellent cast especially Sam Neill and Jurgen Prochnow and I like the rock out opening theme music. The French DVD had some decent interviews on it and the German had a very brief making of and some B-roll footage.
