Con Air and The Rock Blu-ray? - Blu-ray Forum

At work(FYE) today I was going through the system, and looking to see if there were any new Blu-ray titles available for pre-order. To my surprise I saw that we were taking reserves on Con Air, and The Rock. Further digging showed that there was a release date of January 8th for both releases. Has anyone seen or heard anything about this?

Yes, I can confirm Crimson Tide for February as well

Yup, Crimson Tide in February is correct. As are these Rock/Con-Air dates.

thats nothing on some of my movies if some of the ones i have do come out on blu-ray it will be like 4th or 6th time buying just 1 particular movie

There's actually a thread about how many times people have bought movies, you should try to find it. I think the most I've ever re-bought a movie was like 4 or 5 times. I think Black Hawk Down I bought multiple times:

1. Original DVD
2. Superbit DVD
3. Special Edition
4. Blu-Ray

I have Con Air on Blu-ray at the moment, bought it in Australia, got to say the PQ was very impressive, I was not disappointed with it and suggest you all add to your collection at your earliest possible convenience.

Yup, there was a thread here not too long ago about these two being released on 1/8. I think BeatBoy had also mentioned it on AVS a bit ago as part of some "insider" information.

Well, they are out already in germany as well. Both have great PQ. But I was a little disappointed that Con Air is the Theatrical Cut only so I did not buy it. They are trying to double dip again...

Also they are asking big money for them (about 46 USD!)
