Default Real life experiences made scarier due to movies/ Vice versa

Any moments in real life that were made scarier because you thought of a particular movie(doesn't have to be a horror flick to be scary)?

Or

Any movies(/scenes) made scarier due to past real life experiences?

Arachnophobia - cannot watch this movie. I had a fear of spiders as a kid but thought I beat it as an adult. Watched this movie thinking that my fear was gone - had nightmares for about 2 years of spiders collapsing through the ceiling, crawling on me, etc. Still have a fear of them today. It's pathetic. Never watched the movie since.

I had recently watched The Shining and I couldn't step into my bathroom in the middle of the night(which has a tub btw) without freaking out. The sink is on the opposite side of the tub and whenever I used to wash my face I used to get freaking scared at the thought of that old woman being there when I opened my eyes.
This was just for the two-three nights after watching the movie.

The Blair Witch Project.

Still can't be in the woods at night.

I'm a grown ass man.
Dr. Ian Malcolm: Anybody hear that? It's a, um... It's an impact tremor, that's what it is... I'm fairly alarmed here.

Inception, I dreamt it

Nah, for some reason Alien manages to freak me out when I'm in the dark, makes me think the actually xenomorph will pop out the shadows

I was an incredible paranoid child, film like Terminator 3 actually terrified me, just because I felt like some thing was around the corner was coming to get me, I was pretty afraid of the Hulk for a while back in 2003 because I had a weird dream about it I can remember being pretty scared of Batman Begins as well when that came out, I didn't even wind up going to see it, just some of the ideas behind the film terrified me

Whenever I see log trucks on the highway, I think of Final Destination 2.
