Default Things people do that piss you off when watching a movie with them

This applies for instances at home as well as the theatre.
For me,

At Home :
Watching a really intense scene like Sam(Lotr) saying 'I can't carry it for you..but I can carry you' and the music swells and a person says something that is really unimportant (like 'what are we having for dinner today?').

People trying to appear smart by saying how the movie(a pop corn flick/a movie that requires suspension of disbelief) defies logic.

Both at home and theatres

Checking phones for messages every ten minutes.

People talking during a dialogue scene because they think it's unimportant/boring.

On more than one occasion at the theater, I've sat near someone who asks someone they're with -- who has never seen the movie before either -- what's going to happen next. How about you just shut up and watch the damn movie to see what happens next?

This is my fiancee! LOL, drives me nuts. Also, I can't stand loud chewing. The fact that popcorn, such a naturally loud food to chew, is synonymous with movie viewing is something I'll never get over.

If that's the best sass they can come up with in that scene, you need to get better friends

I hate checking the phone either at home or cinema

Just about anything! lol One of the reasons I rarely go see movies in the theater anymore. I would rather wait for the Blu-ray than sit through listening to someone make stupid comments or constantly laughing for no reason. And I always watch a movie first by myself before watching it with someone else, that way I won't be missing anything.

When I saw Prometheus at the cinemas, somebody behind me emitted 'Okayyyyyyy...' after the opening scene with the Engineer. You'd think they had the attention span of a door knob and had to break the silence with some witty line. Also, people laughing at things in films which aren't remotely funny bothers me. I remember watching the original A Nightmare on Elm Street with a group of friends, all of whom burst into laugher when Nancy raised a cup of coffee to her lips. I still don't understand what they found so funny about a character drinking...

The last time I went to the movies there was a full blown out fight in the theater. A group of young teens walked in and started a fight with another group. I got involved by throwing people off each other and at the end the group that started it all apologized but that was the last time for along time.

Recently went to see Brave & Madagascar 3 and it was empty was nice n quiet

The only time I will go see a movie in the theater. Luckily I know someone who helps run an old theater that usually only plays old movies. But lately has been getting new ones on rare occasions to try & make more money.

When I'm watching a movie for the first time with someone and they ask questions about the movie as if I had already seen it. Also when I've seen the movie and the other person hasn't they ask what happens at the end or who the killer is...

When people eat or talk or breath. Just when they make any audible noise i suppose.

It's a movie, you don't need to eat a damn 3 course meal.

By the time we got there around noon or so, the whole IMAX theater was packed and we had to sit in the very front near the entrance. I couldn't hardly see the movie because I was too close to the screen at a bad angle.
Why couldn't you go earlier and let your mate join you after he got free? We're gonna watch TDKR in our local IMAX and to try and get good seats, a couple of us are going a hour or so earlier. Theres 7 of us in total so go figure lol

Can't stand ANY kind of movie interruption. But to specify just one. I hate it when unexpected or uninvited company shows up in the middle of a film (especially a new one) and they expect you to either A). Stop watching and make conversation with them or B). Decide they want to watch & then proceed to ask you constant questions about what brung the film to the point they walked in at. I have actually tossed people out for this behavior. LOL
