Default Vintage repair

I was just given some vintage audio equipment and the turntable is not working and it looks like the amp could use a little work. Anyone know of anyone who repairs this kind of stuff in Northern Ohio?

What are the brands? Depending on the answer to that, it might not be worth the money to repair them. Assuming they are worth repairing, you could take them to a generic hifi repair shop (for the cheaper stuff), or an authoriosed dealer for the more expensive stuff.

I'm in Cleveland, (unless the bid on the house is accepted!!) and I know some dealers that could direct you, but I'll save you the time, and say "contact the manufacturer"

I wouldn't do it any other way.

The turntable is an Elac 50H circa 1970 and the Amp is a Pioneer QL-600. My father bought this stuff in Japan when I was about a year old and mentioned he would love seeing it all hooked up again and working. I know he paid a ton of money for the setup at the time. It did include a receiver and a reel to reel as well.

The QL-600 is a rear channel only amp, intended for Quad use with a complementary Pio receiver for the front two channels.

Audiokarma.org is the place for vintage audio discussion/repair/restoration and here's a short thread on the QL-600: http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/sho...Pioneer+QL-600

Do a search by thread title for "Elac 50H" and you'll find a dozen, or so.

Ooh nice. Thanks. Weird that a Google search did not turn up this site. I have to find the receiver for the system and he says he has two more speakers to go with it, which I assume is why he had to buy the amp.
