I was thinking about blind buying WANTED. I'd like to hear what people thought about this movie. Is it good? Is it bad? AND DON'T FORGET TO EXPLAIN WHY!!!The more good posts I see, the more likely I'll blind buy it. The more bad posts, the less likely I'll get it.

Don't worry I hated Shoot em Up and loved Wanted. They are not similar at all. Other than a lot of action.

Boy, that's a misleading quote. Shoot Em Up was little more than Smokin' Aces with mysogyny.

Wanted is more like the action scenes of The Matrix meets Fight Club (the whole bored everyman POV of the main character for the first half was very much like Ed Norton's in Fight Club). The dark sense of humor was also closer to what Chuck Palahniuk writes than anything in Shoot Em Up.

I love Shoot 'Em Up, I hate Wanted. It's just stupid. The whole premise is stupid. Flicking your wrist to make bullets curve, even CIRCLE is flat-out stupid! Don't even get me started on the depths of stupidity of the loom!

And I'm sorry but James McAvoy is NOT an action hero. He looks dumb attempting it, especially since he screams at the top of his lungs the entire time he's fighting.

I didn't even understand the tone until someone explained to me that the original comic is about villains. That made more sense.

I'm telling you dude, just rent it.

Watch this before going anywhere near the comic and you will enjoy it. You can read the comic afterwards. They stayed true to the spirit of it but I really wanted to see the comic play out on the big screen.

Jolie is hot in this.

I chose not to see this in the cinema as I thought it looked dodgy. So it was really a blind buy on dvd as it was quite cheap and thats the only reason I bought it.

I much preferred Shoot em Up to this. Wanted just makes no sense what so ever and the whole bullet curving thing is beyond ridiculous. Yes, I know Shoot em Up was seen as ridiculous by some but it is still the far more "believable" of the two.

James McAvoy is a fantastic actor but he is no action star and he cannot pull of a decent American accent to save his life. Stick to what you're good at James!

Angelina Jolie - Way to thin in this but still definitely would

Morgan Freeman - Solid as ever but I was surprised he took part in a film like this.

Overall Wanted is not very good as the whole seems completely ludicrous. Mostly likely the script/plot was thought up by the all powerful weaving machine!

I encourage all to pass on exchanging cash for this movie!!!

I've just watched it now and thought it was great. Total over the top action, but great fun.

I would not say it was a good movie but i would say it had good action and felt like a long ride. The story was nothing special and the acting was pretty good. I would say a rental and maybe a buy if you find for under $19.99.

Great movie, if a tad bit overrated. A good blind-buy though. Because even if you don't like it as much as others, you'll most likely be impressed with the picture.

I really liked Wanted so I will definitely be buying it. The action was amazing and there literally is stunts and scenes you haven't seen before, so this isn't just another recycled action movie.

James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman, and Angelina Jolie are all amazing actors and they do a great job. Plus Thomas Kretschman (sp?) is a badass in the movie.

So in conclusion, if you liked Shoot 'Em Up, Bad Boys II, The Matrix, or countless other action movies then you should at least give Wanted a shot.

Not the best movie, but a fun entertaining one which will look and sound great on blu-ray

WANTED is much much better than Shoot Em Up which wasn't all that great. Its not a fair comparison and you shouldn't dismiss it based on that comment alone.

I thought it was a fun movie. Worth a buy IMO.
