That Carlos CDN set looks pretty good. Whats funny is I had no idea the film was 330 minutes until just a couple days ago.
2849 DVDs,
2416 Blu-rays,
165 HD DVDs,
144 Laserdiscs
& counting...

The film is phenomenal. Incredibly well researched and terrifically acted.

I bought mine when HMV had it's boxing week sale back in December. Got it for $24.99 I think.

It would be a shame if no one bought this film, especially sci-fi film fans.

I think that the review for LA Confidential should be redone. It's a great movie, and the disc is fantastic, with good video, audio, and extras.

Exotica Blu-ray REVIEW

There were a couple of requests for a review of this Canadian release. (Matti, your request was a priority).

Video: Disappointing. It is sourced from the same dated master Artificial Eye accessed. The transfer is filtered across the board and the film looks disappointingly flat -- no proper dynamic range, no proper contrast levels, no accurate color reproduction, etc. The current master is garbage, a new one is needed. As it is the case with the Region-B release, my score is 2.75/5.00.

Audio: Better. You get a lossless track here and the difference is obvious. This immediately makes the Alliance release the one to own. However, if the audio is remastered, fidelity will be even better. (The club sequences should sound even better). 4.5/5.00.

I was actually expecting more, but this release is just as underwhelming.
