Movies of varying quality. All from base.com. Picked up Invasion USA to go with the Shout Factory release. Couldn't pass up the Bey Logan commentary.

Thanks mate. It was a pretty awesome day/night. Seeing the Man of Steel himself drunk & dancing was pretty surreal. Thought I was living in Superman 3 for a second.

Not a post of my collection, but just a query (and sorry to revive an old thread, couldn't find a storage related one)...

Does anybody know of any decent under-bed storage for Blus/DVDs that won't just fall apart? I have basically one half of a double bed I can use and can stack things two high when on their sides. I got some crates from Asda that clipped together but with being pulled out and pushed back in they've kind of come apart.

I'm looking for a fairly cheap solution that's kind of all in one, so if anybody has any suggestions, please hit me up.

I've got all my DVD's stored in these. Each one hold about 75 DVD's, the lids clip on securely and they are really strong (I've got them stacked 5 high and use them as a computer desk!)

As a mini-celebration for me reaching 300 blu-rays in my collection, I thought I'd get some out on the shelf and post some pictures of my collection. Since its all in boxes at the moment due to temporary accommodation, I've only posted my limited edition items - Arrow limited editions, Arrow & Masters of Cinema steelbooks, other steelbooks and a couple of other limited edition items.

The images are a bit warped from using the iPhone's panorama feature! (The photos are therefore massive, forgive me)

Arrow Academy and Arrow Video limited edition releases (+some extras):

Favourites: Donnie Darko, Carrie, The Apartment, Dekalogue

Steelbooks:
One missing - A Touch of Evil MoC steelbook, as its currently being lent.

Favourites: Rumble Fish, Heat, Blow Out, Lifeboat, Pulp Fiction

Its nice to have them all out ordered by type, as normally I have them ordered by director - see below for the director I have the most titles from, Brian De Palma. While I think ordering by type/company etc is perhaps more aesthetically pleasing, logistically having them ordered by director makes so much more sense to me. I don't like seeing works by the same director be in different places.

DePalma:

Favourites: Carrie, Blow Out, Carlito's Way

Not to sound like a knob as I really like what you have done, but be careful that doesn't draw damp through the outside wall and trash you sleeves etc

I like gifs, you'll see

I totally agree with you!

I put most of my East Asian cinema collection on top of my Besta bookcases a month or so ago, and the other day I noticed that my Stray Cat Rock box set was stuck to the wall. I checked the other films and my A Touch of Zen and One-Armed Swordsman slipcovers were stuck too. Gently pulling them away from the wall resulted in damaged covers and chipped paint. It's an inside stud wall that I painted over ten years ago, and there's no damp whatsoever!

Set ups not ideal and photo is sideways, but my collection is pretty much where I want it right now. Very few movies I'd actually want to get rid off and every disc has been watched at least once. Yes, even Police Academy 7. All in alphabetical order except for some sequels. (e.g Dark Knight is under B an all Planet Of The Apes films are under P)

I don't think you'll ever sound like a knob when posting a genuine concern like this. I'm sure it's appreciated whether damp is an issue or not.
