Default Def Tech W Studio vs Yamaha YAS106

I need quick advice. This is for a sound bar setup. Which to pick?

W Studio - $1000
Great sound, reproduced 5.1 but no 4K pass through. I can plug my 4K devices directly into 4K and the digital optical out to sound bar. Wireless subwoofer is a plus. No dts through optical.

Yamaha 106 - $200
Has 4K pass through but only 2.1 with added wired sub. Will play Dolby and dts.

Does having to use optical and losing dts with the def tech really matter on a sound bar??

I don't think a soundbar is worth it at any price point, but that's just my take. If your willing to invest $1000 bucks and want the best sound quality I'd look for a good used set of bookshelf speakers along with a new AVR.
Run it in 2 channel and add a sub down the line. Good luck....

If your application works best with a powered sound bar I like Def Tech's W Studio.
