Log in with your regular Amazon account. Pick up CAT'S EYE while you're at it if you're a big King fan, because who knows if we'll see them in the U.S.
I would second amazon.it. Their shipping is not too bad, and the blu itself is pretty cheap. They have a 50% 5 blus or more thing going on, and while MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE isn't one of them, after 11 blus the total price with shipping came out to $97.04 (or roughly $8.88 per title).

Received it alongside Cat's Eye yesterday and whereas Cat had a great transfer, Maximum Overdrive leaves me puzzled with its soft look and muted colors. It is a slight improvement over the dvd but it looks so washed out, especially the interior shots of the diner (and most definitely the red'ish playing hall). As soon as I see a new release for this, this will go on ebay.

P.S. If you tone down the brightness and contrast, the image is doable.

Soft look, muted colors, and that darn flickering sunset scene is really bad, all of this is fixed now.

I take it that is a custom home tweaked version? It is possible to make the blu-ray look better, just alone by adjusting your settings but I would personally prefer a proper remaster.

lol, we did much, much more then that, and this Italian BD has issues you will not be able to fix, we needed the HDX to fix those problems, still have no idea what the Japanese release looks like, wouldn't doubt it has the same issues the Italian BD does though, but I am hoping it is better because the Italian BD rally is terrible.

Good luck on your "proper remaster" wish.

[Show spoiler]
I wouldn't mind getting my hands on that custom BD as well. I imported the Italian version, but it might as well be a poorly sourced bootleg.

And by the way, I really like that cover art. I worked up some cover art myself a while back. Like what you posted better though.

It's such a terrible Blu-ray, it's kind of surprising to me that this is still not available on Blu-ray in the US.

Yeah, I'd love to see a proper release of this title on Blu-ray and a US release would be nice. I'd import it again though if a new release actually delivered the goods.
