Yeah, I'm tempted by the Japan release of Cross of Iron, but I'm still hoping for a U.S. release with all the extras of the U.K. release. The Japan release is barebones. I also checked out The Enemy Below on amazon.jp, but it's a little rich for my blood right now. $36 before shipping. Ouch.
Current pre-orders:
08/28/2018: Tucker: The Man and His Dream

Most wanted blu ray release: Bringing Up Baby

I am thinking the same thing. But at least it is there if the wait gets too long.

I bought the COI Japanese import for around $20 last year. No problems with it but I'll view it again to comment on the quality. I'd always prefer to have an American release though.

Flight of the Phoenix 1965. Sadly, another classic that should have be on the format by now.

I'm keeping with Jimmy Stewart, I'd think Calling Northside 777 would have been released by now too. I think the biggest omission is Shirley Temple movies. She was their biggest star and the reason they survived the depression. Not one single movie prior to the merger has been released on blu-Ray to my knowledge.

A shame not all Fox Cinemascope pictures, from the era when they started with the wonderful Searchlights and Cinemascope music have been restored as well as Wild River, The Long Hot Summer, and The Left Hand of God, all of which look amazing. Others are coming out in versions from Spain and other countries that are simply upgrades from DVD and are hardly worth the investment, and some should not be on sale at all, Desiree being one, that are simply awful! Brando playing Napoleon? Come on, that has to be worth the effort! And Boy On A Dolphin had a pretty good release from the picture point of view, but they cut off the Fox studio anthem at the start! Can't do that people!!!
