I ended up talking to a Klipsch rep and he said that the 250s would give me better dispersion but the 160m would give me a better, deeper, warmer tone. So they both have there merits. I'm just trying to figure out which would sound best with my room. It's about 15x15 with 8ft ceilings.
It's because my couch is against the rear wall that I ended up going with bipoles. Mine are an older model, RS-62, which are a bit bigger and heavier than the ones you're looking at, and I have never regretted it. If you scroll back a few posts you can see where I posted a picture of them.

Would it be better to use 2 R-112SW subs or a single R-115 sub for my home theater. What are you guys using?

I have 2 R-112SW subwoofers in my small dedicated theater and I find the benefit of dual subs in a home theater application is a real plus for filling out the bass more evenly in the room. There has been extensive discussion of the positive aspects of dual or multiple subwoofers in the home theater if you want to do a little more research before making a decision. My vote would be to go dual over the 15 inch sub. Just my 2 cents.

I went to Best Buy today and ended picking up the Klipsch R-15M Reference 5-1/4" Bookshelf Speakers for $100 after a $30 gift card. I was also looking at the Polk T15 Black bookshelf but the sale ended today and back to the original price. The sales guy recommend me the Klipsch because they are a better buy and overall better speakers that gives better highs and bass. I will be using this as my main speakers and I also have Insignia for the rears. I'll probably get the Klipsch center speaker some time down the road. Was this a good purchase for these speakers? Has anyone else heard them or have them that can comment on the sound and quality?

I am using them as rear speakers and they sound really good. They aren't drowned out by my towers. I don't know how they will sound as mains though.

I just picked up a pair of these for my new Mini Cinema. So far no problem!
My set-up is more about the video anyway so I did not need towers.
I made my own stands with scrap from other projects and the sound they produce for the room is all I need. I also bought the matching center from a forum member and they all work great together. They're efficient and the mids/highs blend great with the pair of 10" powered subs...

Taking delivery today on two R-26FA's. I have two RP280FA's in the front.

I'm wondering where I should set up the R-26FA's, on the sides or in the back?

Default Atmos Question

Hi Guys,
I need some help. I am running my Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-140SA on top of my 280f up front. I am using a Denon 6300H. While my Denon 1100 in the living has a setting for Atmos enabled speakers my 6300h only has "top middle" or Top Height as settings for the fronts. Can you suggest the best setting for my 140sa please.
Thanks

Hello Guys, I need help, I just installed my atmos enable speakers to my 3200 Denon A/V receiver, however I don't hear any difference in the sound, besides I notice that the sound on some TV channels is low, and is was OK before I installed the speakers. If someone had the same problem before, can tell me what am I doing wrong. I have tried to change the settings, buy the sound is still low. As a reference I have the cable box output installed to my OPPO 103D bluray player, and from there goes to the receiver, I'm using HDMI connectors. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you.

cable tv doesn't broadcast ATMOS so you shouldn't be getting any sound from the ATMOS speakers. if what you didn't say is that you have DSU or Neural:X in play from that source then you will hear something, to what end, I'm not sure.

also what you didn't say is that you played an ATMOS Blu-ray (a well mastered one too, check reviews) and have the same issues.

Thank you for your input. I know that cable doesn't broadcast in Atmos, what I was saying or trying to say, was that the sound in general is low in some channels, and normal in others, I don't know why. I've tried several settings, but I can get to the problem. Before I install the atmos speakers, all the channels were sounding good, but after the installation some of them are low.

I have several Atmos movies, I've tried several like Sicario, Rogue nation, but I don't hear a lot of difference. I don't know what I'm missing in my set up. The Atmos are the 140SA Klipsch and are on top of my front speakers.

How are you liking the 26fa's? I am about to purchase my first audio set up. Currently rocking a soundbar. I was looking into getting those but no one seems to have any reviews for them. My Klipsch shopping cart is nearly $3000 at the moment.

This past Monday, I have joined the the Klipsch family. I am coming from and old Onkyo HTIB 7.1.

This is what I picked up:
2x RF-82 II
1x RC-62 II
1x R12SW

All of this will be hooked up to a Onkyo 656 receiver when my speaker wire finally arrives. I still need to get me some rear speakers. Any suggestions on settings?

This is a HUGE step up. I took a very similar upgrade path going from an Onkyo 5.1 HTiB to Klipsch RF-82 mains with an RC-62 center. I kept running my Onkyo speakers as surrounds until i could afford to upgrade them. Not ideal, but they did ok in the short term.

As far as settings just hook everything up and run your receiver's auto calibration. Set all speakers to small (even the new Klipsch) and crossover at 80 or 100 Hz. You'll have to redo this process when you get the new surrounds. Once you have all Klipsch you should be safe going with 80 Hz on the crossover setting rather than 100.
