Default Adding a crossover to an HTiB subwoofer?

Just bought a new amp, and my old all-in-one Sony system came with a rather nice powered sub, and as I am a cheap b**tard, I am loathe to junk it with the rest. The problem is that it has no crossover control.

Is it possible to put a cheap crossover box between the amp and the sub to control/integrate it into a components-based setup?

I was looking at this on Ebay, and wondered if it might be of any use?

Daphne Barnes: Major, I do believe you're trying to get me sloshed.
Maj. Leep: Heavens above, no! Only a damn swine would try and get a girl drunk first.
Daphne Barnes: First?
Maj. Leep: Well it would be a damn waste of time getting her drunk afterwards.
