Exactly. I plan on upgrading the surround rears ONE DAY but for now, these will do the job just fine.

Default Polk 5000 ihs

I have had this sound bar for about 3 years. Recently the wireless sub has started making awefully popping noise. I have tried to resync it..to no avail. Iím thinking of buying another wireless sub. Any suggestion if this would work or not?

I want to upgrade from my sony ssf-5000's as my front towers.

Audio is not my thing, lol. What would be the differance between the T50 and the monitor 70's. Would either be a significant upgrade from the sony's? Thanks!

I have not heard the T50s, only the Monitor 70's.

One thing to keep in mind is two of the 6.5" drivers on the T50 are only passive radiators while all four 6.5" drivers on the Monitor 70's are active loudspeakers.

Monitor 70's are also double the price of the T50's.

I am not familiar with the Sony's you mentioned so i dont know how much of an upgrade either would be.

Default Polk Warranty

I just ordered a tweeter for my T600. Does anyone have any experience to how long it will take to receive my part? They didn't give me much hassle. Just needed a receipt and address to ship to.

I bought to a price because I had to, but I have enjoyed my T50 set as fronts, T15 set as surrounds, and I'll go ahead and grab the T30 when I get the new TV. I'm impressed with the T50's playing movies...on Top Gun, there is a lot of low end for just one driven LF driver. Mine all get abused now by a Denon TR-NX676 down to 80Hz, where a pair of 18" subs take over driven by an 1100W RMS Crown amp. I'd like more, and when I do, I am looking to either keep it Polk or go Canton.
Onkyo TX-NR676, Polk T50 fronts, Polk T15 surrounds, JBL HLS410 as a centre, Crown XLS1000 bridged driving a Harbinger HX118S and Behringer VP1800S, viewed on a TLC 55S615 screen, driven by a custom HTPC with UHD capability and 14TB storage or a Sony X700 UHD player

For anyone who's piecing a HTS, I would easily recommend that model as intro speakers any day.

Default Def-Tech BP8 vs Polk Audio M60 II Series

Hi All.
I'm running a pair of 20 year old Def-Tech BP8, they still sound good but some times they sound a little less crisp and a little muddled during music time.
Everything else in my set-up is Polk Audio and so I've been looking at Polk Audio Monitor 60 II series as replacements. They seem to have great reviews but there's no place to listen to them so I'm just wondering if any of you Audioholics had any thoughts and I would appreciate your feed back on the Monitor 60.

Thanks !

I have a 5 piece Polk Monitor series II in cherry. M 70 (mains) , CS2 (center) , M 40 (surround). That have been boxed up not being used for a few years. I ended up scoring an awesome deal on some LSi speakers, so I use those.

I have nothing bad to say about the Monitor series II.

If you re in Michigan , you can come listen to mine. If you like them you can buy them as well. Lol.

I'm seriously looking into the T50's to replace the 4 T15's I have for the rears and surrounds (they are currently $89.99 each).

Shame we're not close to each other. I would have definitely would have been interested in buying your speakers.
