Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron is on Blu-ray. That's something, at least.

it would be great if this film could finally be released on its 20th anniversary this year, in time for Easter!!

i don't understand what's taking so long.
Spirit is released already!

"In addition, to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of DreamWorks’ 'The Prince of Egypt,' Annecy will debut a fully remastered print of the epic film. The 1998 film won the Oscar for best original song for 'When You Believe' and was the studio’s first traditional animated film production. It told the story of Moses and went on to gross $218 million worldwide, making it the most successful non-Disney animated film up to that point"

That sounds encouraging, and I didn’t get a chance to read the article, but that could mean a theatrical release only? Sure hope a BD happens.

It's appalling how poorly DreamWorks has treated their animated catalogue...it's like they don't give a damn for releasing anything on BD pre-2006 that didn't result in a franchise.

I feel like Universal is the best place to have taken in the DreamWorks catalog. Regardless of the QC, they have released a decent amount (granted not all) of their traditionally animated films on Blu-ray, whether it be the Don Bluth films, the Amblimation films, or even the 2006 Curious George film. I hope it'll be no different for the DreamWorks films that aren't yet available.

Something else I've noticed is that on Universal's website, most of the DWA catalog is listed. Most of the DVD reissues coming out in June, and some Classic Media stuff. But The Prince of Egypt I can't find on the site at all, despite there also being a DVD release currently set for June. Hmm..
