These will probably all be ripped from pre-existing BDs and DVDs from other labels like the first two volumes were, but I’m hoping they at least encode the thing properly this time around.

Yeah, that's kind of a sleazy thing to do - but it saves me the work of ripping and burning them all myself when I'm in the mood for pizza, weed and small doses of exploitation on a Friday night.

I am hoping that someone does a 90's trailer blu-ray because the 90's had some great horror films and lots of DTV goodness too.

I picked up the first two volumes up but was disappointed for that reason. Garagehouse's Trailer Trauma discs are sourced from original collector prints and are much more fun to watch IMO.

I've got the previous releases. What was the encoding issue?

All sorts of compression artifacts (as with their discs of The Blob and Death Wish 2).

I know they did a replacement for The Blob.

Did Death Wish 2 also had a replacement from them?

Not that I am aware of. The issue noted for DW2 is because of over compression.

Obviously to minimise the sales price Umbrella decided to do a BD + DVD for some of the extras. Should really have been two BD disks with DW2 on one and DW3 on the other then split the extras across the 2 disks. But they obviously thought adding A$5 or 10 onto the price would lose them a lot of sales.

I believe in the DW thread there was some some comment that latest pressing has lossless rather than lossy audio. Was that officially confirmed ? If so not seen anything to say they would exchange BDs.

I remember years back Umbrella did with the Picnic at Hanging Rock DVD as originally was letterboxed and was supsequently replaced with an anamorphic version. I know they let me upgrade to the anamorphic disk for free.

Are they really squeezing 370 minutes (plus 95 minutes in SD) onto one disc? I don't have a good feeling about this one.

THE MAN FROM HONG KONG has terrible compression issues in some of the special features, especially the interviews taken from NOT QUITE HOLLYWOOD. It's really not a good idea to cram so much info on one disc. I get that it's about being economical but if the quality suffers then why bother?

I wrote down all the titles featured in the promo, totaled 163 (out of 175, according to the promo...so 12 of them weren't shown?). Apologies if I screwed something up, had to play it at 0.25 speed just to be able to pause quick enough to write down the titles before the video had shot through 5 more of them. So until we get an official list of the trailers featured, this should give a good idea of what we're getting in this one...

Forgive me if this is a dumb question...but on their site, https://www.umbrellaent.com.au/comin...h-blu-ray.html

It says this:

Extra Features:
"VHS DELIRIUM - BONUS 95 MINUTE SD TRAILER COMPILE"

I wonder what that is? I mean I technically know, of course. '95 Minutes of trailers but in standard definition'. I'm just wondering what the trailers for those will be on top of the 151 trailers in HD...

I asked them if they could share some info on what is included on that 95 minute bonus trailer compile, but didn't get any reply, so we'll probably have to wait until someone gets their hands on a copy until we know more.

Since this release started shipping this week, if anyone receives their copy please share any info you can about that special feature "VHS DELIRIUM".

Since I'm located in Europe, and considering past Umbrella shipments, I'll probably have to wait 2 more weeks or so until my copy arrives, and I would love to know a bit more about this release.
