OF UNKNOWN ORIGIN is an independently produced Canadian movie that, AFAIK, Warner just purchased the distribution rights for back at the time. Could be a case where the rights reverted back to the producers (it's been 25 years) and that's why they were available to Shout?

Like everyone else, I hope it's the sign of a bigger deal with Warner, I just wonder why you'd start that kind of arrangement with OF UNKNOWN ORIGIN (lol).

The It's Alive trilogy would have been the starting point. Moreover, in the past they're usually transparent if they licenced a film from independent holders. They're being very hush-hush about who they've licenced these films from.

And if HBO titles are possible, of course Ricochet
I'd also love Boiling Point, Deep Cover, and Ricochet..... as well as quite a few other HBO titles including Witch Hunt and Cast a Deadly Spell!

If I could get "Fingers" on Shout Select and "The Hand" on Scream, I'd be so happy.

And, I want ANYONE to get "Year of the Dragon" out there. The only blu of it is a French Carlotta release, and although I'm Multi-Region, that release doesn't have English subs for the Chinese dialogue, which is about a third of the film.

Also, for B-movie fun, how about "Forced Vengeance", with ole Chuck Norris?

I agree with your list, but I’d be psyched for the ones I trimmed it down to...day 1 for sure on those.

Yeah we'll know sooner or later how Scream got those because they'll be listed on the packaging. And if it is for sure Warners...I'm thrilled. Game changer.

Perfect candidate for Shout Select...

Especially if they can get the director's original version on there, too.

I'd love to see Cats Don't Dance get CE treatment. Real great (and underrated) animated movie.

I could really go for American Me on blu ray. Seems like a perfect Shout Select title since it doesn't seem to be on Universal's blu ray releasing radar

--Innerspace (the WB release has a great commentary carried over from the DVD but there's so much more they can do with this)
--The Second Civil War (they have a relationship with Joe Dante but this is an HBO movie, and I don't see them revisiting this one... ever)
--Path to War (also an HBO movie, and the last movie directed by John Frankenheimer)
--Spies Like Us (I mean, they did Into the Night with Landis, but this one definitely needs a new transfer)
--a Police Academy boxset (with ALL the deleted scenes from TV)
--Executive Action (a JFK assassination thriller from the 70s)
--Memoirs of an Invisible Man

And if this applies to New Line releases as well:

--Cronenberg's Crash (Criterion should get this one)
--Drop Dead Gorgeous (please!!)

Beetlejuice would make a great Scream Factory SE. And sadly, one movie owned by WB that would also make a great Scream Factory SE will never happen. I am, of course, talking about Poltergeist.

These were a big Warner property that, if I recall, someone accidentally overlooked the film when it was time to renew the rights and it went into public domain, much to Warner's dismay. Anyway, a no-brainer for Shout:

Sonny Chiba Street Fighter films

The Street Fighter

Return of the Street Fighter

The Streetfighter's Last Revenge

I think that the below films may be out of the Shout's niche, however I would also love to see:

Heaven with a Gun with Glenn Ford (1969)

And a pre-code double feature
Kongo with Walter Huston and Lupe Velez
White Woman with Charles Laughton, Carole Lombard

I’ve really enjoyed most of the Golden Harvest titles the Archive released and would definitely upgrade if Shout released them on Blu-ray. The compression on the DVDs wasn’t good.

I'll echo the desire for Spies Like Us. Such a bad transfer and only available in a double feature with no extras whatsoever.

Bloodsport Special Edition would be day 1. Frank Dux history is one that is hotly debated.

Shame Kickboxer hasn't been given any special features either whilst on the subject. Would love to see some interviews with Michel Qissi (Tong Po) etc.
