Default Monty Python's "And Now For Something Completely Different"

Apparantly there's a German BD of Monty Python's "And Now For Something Completely Different". Does anyone know if it's locked to Region-B or not?

Forget The Evil Dead; what George Lucas has done to Star Wars since 1997 is truly "The Ultimate Experience in Grueling Terror".

Don't know.

But this was broadcast on BBC2 HD over the holidays, and I was surprised just how decent it looked.

I put my copy in my US PS3, and it played without issue. The only thing you need to remember is that it will default to the German audio track.

Thank you so much, you guys. I had foolishly put off getting the Region-A locked Japanese release and now it's OOP, so it's good to know that a region-free (and cost-effective) alternative exists. Off to Amazon.de I go!

Looking at an unboxing of the the 2-disc (BD/DVD) digibook release, its relatively extensive text is all in German. It does have many pictures, but still...

Combine the entire German text thing with the fact that no one wants to watch a feature film on DVD with PAL speed-up, and there's really no value proposition for non-Germans to buy the digibook at 3x the price of the standard single-BD release.

My copy's still in the mail, but I did manage to find a BDInfo scan for those interested in such things. From what I could tell using Google Translate at the German-language Cinefacts.de thread regarding this release, the second German track is pitch-shifted to sound like what the previous PAL 25fps video releases from German sounded like or something to that effect.

Received the disc from Amazon.de and it seems to be a very nice release considering the age and provenance of the source material. The pre-menu trailers are skippable, the menus are in German but easily comprehensible, there are plenty of chapter stops, and the disc actually has the film's trailer as a bonus feature.

There are two things to note regarding this release: The English subtitles are somewhat lightly paraphrased instead of being 1:1 in respect to the script, and if you want to see the trailer in English you first need to set the audio track to English in the main menu as otherwise it'll play the trailer with dubbed German audio.
