Maybe if the Hou sells, they can get A City of Sadness? Or maybe that is a pipe dream...

The rights issues with City of Sadness are such that theatrical screenings have to be either free and/or accompanied by a lecture that is the Ďmain featureí you pay for, so I suspect any home video release is a long way off.

But Dust in the Wind, The Time to Live and the Time to Die and The Sandwich Man have been restored and Iím not sure what has been holding up releases of those.

Carl Theodor Dryer's 'Michael' specs:

http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparison....php?fid=45498

Looks like another stellar booklet (deep breath):

"Comes with a collector's booklet featuring a new essay by Philip Kemp; a reprint of Tom Milne's 'The World Inside Me' from 1971; Jean Renoir's 1968 tribute, 'Dreyer's Sin'; a translation of the original 1924 Danish programme; a reprint of Nick Wrigley's essay from the film's 80th anniversary DVD release; and a selection of archival imagery."

Can't find it on HMV thats why I'm asking

I don't want to order it from Amazon for fear of it arriving damaged.

They're usually a bit late putting just announced titles up. But it's just the first 2000 copies that have the slipcover - the same with their upcoming release of Cure.

FYI: Cure isn't on HMV's site either yet.

I want to get that in a 2 for £25 as soon as

I too am keeping an eye on the HMV listings. Want to pre-order Cure from them, and probably the Hou set too if it's cheaper than Eureka/Amazon.

Add me to that list too. Want to get Cure in 2 for £25 and waiting to see how much the Hou set is there.

Thanks. Wondered why I wasn't finding it on HMV yet.

Might just go to Eureka then as I'm impatient and have to have the slipcover with mine.

Same price at Eureka! as Amazon. Is it likely to go any cheaper?

Doubtful and Eureka deserve my custom more than Amazon so I've bitten the bullet and gone with Eureka

eureka always seem to link to the amazon listings now i've noticed, didn't they link to their own store before? in their tweets and news pages i'm talking about.

perhaps it they don't mind that much?

They've said before that sales through Amazon helps them as it raises their profile. Or words to that effect.

Your getting three movies on two BDs for 20.99. You want it cheaper?

I'm not messing around waiting for HMV. I may miss out on the O ring.

I highly doubt all 2000 will sell out before release date, so the slipcover should stick around for a while. I'm at least going to see how much HMV list it for before I pre-order direct with Eureka, but I reckon it'll only be £19.99 or thereabouts (so a quid cheaper). And sometimes with LE releases and box sets they're actually a quid or two more.

EDIT: yup, it's £19.99 from Base.com, but I'm still going with either HMV or Eureka as I'm more likely to receive it in mint condition (and on time).
