I suggest every year it doesn't come out, we update the thread title according to when it was first created:

The Abyss and True Lies planned for 2012...2013...2014...2015...2016...2017...2018?

Of course, as long as there is no cap on the character limit for titles

I just watched it today and it looked very nice on my new Sony 930E 4K tv. It is 1 of the few movies I am still waiting for, at least on 1080P, but 4K would be great!

I had more faith in Fox eventually releasing it, Disney will definitely not release it. Disney is way more reserved and politically correct they won't touch True Lies just based on its content.

Disney is too busy oversaturating Star Wars and doing unnecessary remakes of its older films anyways to make an effort to release True Lies and The Abyss on Blu-ray.

You can say that again.
BTW, I'm not a hater or lover of Star Wars, but what's the plan on number of Star Wars films they're going to make? Is it ever going to end?

If they make money, why would it end? Filmmaking is a business.

That's what I'm asking;
When will society be like, "Ok, that's enough Star Wars sequels, sidequels, prequels!!"

Because once people stop going to new SW films, they'll stop making em

The brilliant dvd making-off "Under Pressure: Making The Abyss" is on youtube.

Hands off the compression button, Music Industry!
Hands off the DNR button, Blu-Ray producers!
Films are supposed to have grain!

I feel if I go buy a DVD copy of The Abyss, they will announce it officially for Blu-Ray.

Couldn't hurt.

I'm having nightmares about this ending up being picked up by Kino or some other label who will just throw it up on disc without any extras. Or, worse, a MOD release. What's wrong with that, you say? Nothing, just think this film needs a nice big collector's edition and fancy packaging. Something to live up and surpass that initial DVD, which was fully loaded and spectacular (for the time lol). Someone mentioned this was on Netflix but I couldn't find it.

Nahh, this is one of Cameron's babies. He will be the only one to properly release a UHD version.
