I think the, 'I only sell 300 copies', is a load of sh*t that he uses to gin up business from the fanbois. There are plenty....
Or like the intro to What About Bob when Bill Murray clocks in and says hi to his goldfish, Gill.

It's a Sbarro's franchise

I watched The Sicilian Connection last night. It wasn't too bad. I was a bit confused by the ending. Was Giuseppe 'Joe' Coppola
[Show spoiler]an undercover cop all along
? That was the assumption I had going into the film, so I wonder if my take-away wasn't a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy kind of thing. Maybe I really zoned out at the end. I was a bit tired.

88 Films sent me notice of a planned BD of ALICE SWEET ALICE in March.

I forgot, is Code Red planning this one too?

It's a big favorite of mine

No, supposedly Warner was working on a restoration of the film last year but we haven't heard much about it. I'm pretty sure it was Warner

A big favorite of yours and any discerning fan of horror! This film is so awesome. Pre-ordered immediately. The print they're restoring looks just like the one I saw last year.

I love it too, and I'm even Catholic.

The death in the abandoned warehouse has to be one of the most imaginatively shot, atmospheric, yet completely grueling on film.

Yes, your assumption about the ending is correct. It was the big twist of the movie. I love THE SICILIAN CONNECTION. It looks great, it has some startling violence (the opening scene is unnerving as hell), some bits of cool action, and Ben f--king Gazzara. I personally think he was one of the greatest (and coolest) film actors of all time, and seeing him in a poliziotteschi is mind-bending. This one makes a great double feature with either MACHINE GUN McCAIN or BANDITS IN ROME, both Italian crime films starring Gazzara's longtime friend John Cassavetes. It's just a very cool eurocrime, and I still grin when I spot the Code Red Blu-Ray spine on my shelf. I might watch it again tonight!

Is there any reason why Target shouldn’t have Seven Blood Stained Orchids and the new Emmanuelle Disc up for sale?

They do have Last Hunter and Chaos/Don't Look in the Basement, but Target's stocking seems to be hit and miss.

It's with WB in the US. They're been 'working' on an an alleged remastering for years now. (Right after they finish Greed, I'm sure!) I doubt if anything is actually forthcoming, so I'm ordering the 88 disc as soon as I reach the free shipping minimum.

Shipping is already really cheap at 88 Films so I'm not going to wait for a threshold. Maybe if 88 had more titles I were interested in but I don't have a reason to wait.

After reading the review of the 88 Films edition of Delirium, I decided to pull the trigger on that one as well.

For some reason, it just seems right to have two copies of this movie.
