i would still like the suzuki set, and at 65% sold out there was a chance of it being there when it qualifies for a sale discount, which is more of a criteria for me these days as i have seen far too much drop too dramatically. as it is, the title pretty much disappeared (at the £32.99 price) within 24 hours of the newsletter, which i've not seen happen quite like that before. yes, a few have gone very quickly, but i wouldn't have expected it from this set or from that position.

I think this may be like the Dekalog panic. It was sold out from the Arrow store and it looked to be going OOP, but it is still in stock all this time later at about 2/3 of what I paid. Plus the US version of Suzuki is still available. I would like to know how many of the Suzuki sets they kept for their store.

Sorry to ask a possibly dumb question but here goes:

Made my first order from the new Arrow site on Tuesday, a £25 pre-order paid using my Paypal balance. Just checked and Arrow haven't yet added my points to my account. Is it now normal for it to take so long or come Monday should I fire off an email to customer services?

Thanks in advance to anyone who replies.

I can only go by recent experience with the new website but they seem to go on around the time the order is processed, So could take a day or so.
Films I would like to see on Blu Ray (In no particular order) : The Phantom Lady (1944) Local Hero (1983) The 7 Faces of Dr Lao (1964) Martin (1977) Straight To Hell (1980) Escape From Sobibor (1987) The Phantom Tollbooth (1970) The Amazing Mr. Blunden (1972)

Excited for Irma Vep, which is a film I love. For once the artwork is great too. Really looking forward to Black Venus too. Blue Is The Warmest Colour and Secret Of The Grain are classics, but I’ve not seen this yet.

Okay so it’s officially been 7 weeks since my Arrow sale order shipped.

I think it’s time I send them an email. I believe I’ve been more than patient.

Just to check again, have people been receiving Cat O Nine Tails or Suzuki Vol 1 from Arrow yet? (Disregarding the early faulty batch of Cat)

Or are these still delayed. Being legacy orders, and therefore not receiving shipping notifications, I want to make sure I'm on top of it to make sure it's not a repeat of what happened with Carrie for so many people.

Not as fussed about Black Venus - the only Kechiche film I've seen is Blue is the Warmest Colour, which was okay but I had a bit of a problem with how he filmed it (though that could just be a one off).

The best surprise here is more Roger Donaldson! Never heard of this one but I might be tempted to pre-order it with Sleeping Dogs. Nothing at all from New Zealand then suddenly three in a row (if you include Second Sight's Once Were Warriors).
I thoroughly recommend Summer Hours, one of the great films of the 2000s IMHO.

Defo in for Irma Vep. I watched it on mubi a few months back it is excellent. My favourite Assayas so far. It has this great late 90s feel and is a strange mix of cinema vérité and surrealism plus some in film appreciation for Maggie Cheung in “The Heroic Trio” is always welcome. Love the design of the cover also!
BD's for trade: Pigs & Battleships, Battleship Potemkin (Kino), Body Double (Carlotta).
