i was at BB yesterday and they had an open box KDL32XBR6 for sale..
The price was good 699 The bad part is .. no remote.. $32.. no manual.. and no frigging pedestal stand. I dont understand why people dont return these items.. ANyway.. should i stay away from this tv(my gut feeling) or scoop it up and try it out for 30 days. **need price on pedestal stand if anyone knows*** |

What you really have to consider is, how much abuse the tv has taken as a display model? Granted, that is a newer model XBR but it is very possible it has a good amount of hours on it already(TV on from 10A.M-9P.M everyday). Also, like you stated you'd need to purchase a remote, pedestal stand, and owners manual. I personally, have only purchased my A/V receiver as open box, never an HDTV. Ultimately, i think you need to ask yourself if its worth saving the $200ish here or worth just spending the extra money and having the peace of mind. Personally, i'd buy it brand new. But i cant blame you for being tempted, especially at that price!

yeah...they're basically trying to sell off and incomplete, used item. Offer them $500...see if they bite
But like the PS3+hddvd owner said, I don't think I would risk it BTW: to answer your question about the pricing on the missing parts, I would call SONY. They should have the pricing on those items

personally, I wouldnt buy 32" XBRs, as the L series 32" is just as good and I got it for $499!
the 120 Hz and 1080P difference is not that prevalent in 32". but I was shocked at the 52XBR6 at $1999 + 1 free S350 BD player!!!!!!!!!1 Sigh... too bad I already have an 52XBR4, or else I'd jump all over that $2000 deal.
