Battlestar galactica season 4.0 AND 4.5?

Can anyone tell me whether I should pick up season 4.5 THINKING that the studios will release seasons 1, 2, 3, THEN 4.0 with THE IDEA that 4.5 is already released. I don't want to double dip. Thanks for your replies, gang!

No, WHAT I MEAN is KNOWING that they will release season 1 on Jan. 5, 2010, in its entirity, will they release seasons 2 & 3 in their ENTIRITY then release season 4 AS 4.0 because 4.5 has ALREADY been released?

They would package 4 separate from 4.5 if that is what you are asking

I guess I'm having difficulty being understood. Since 4.5 (the latter half of season 4) has already been released, will they re-release the ENTIRE fourth season in ONE package, OR will they merely release the prior half of season 4 which has yet to be released in individual packaging (calling it 4.0, like when they released the seasons in standard DVD as 1, 2.0, 2.5, 3, 4.0 then 4.5). I don't want to buy 4.5 if they are going to re-release the whole 4th season in ONE set.

That's what I'm saying. They most likely won't package half seasons together because they air so far apart. They sell them as separate seasons to make more money. Nip/Tuck season 5 on DVD for example.

On top of that, it would cause way too much confusion if customers had to distinguish between season 4.0 (already on DVD) and season 4.

Hi, I am new to the Battlestar Galactica.

I´ve bought season 1 (already watched it) on BD and I am currently watching season 2.

I´ve already ordered season 3, The Razor and The Plan.

My doubt is which should I get now ? season 4 or season 4.5 ?

I think season 4 in BD has all the 20 episodes, correct ? why should I buy season 4.5 ? May I skip this one ???

Season 4.0 only includes the first ten episodes as well as Razor. Season 4.5 includes the final ten episodes. You'll definitely need both.

And if you've already bought season 4.5, the only way to get season 4.0 on its own (without buying the second half of the season twice) is to buy the UK release of 4.0. As you figured out, 4.0 was not released in the United States.

There is no "4.0" in the US. The BluRay release of the complete season four is called "Battlestar Galactica: Season Four", with roman letters not numerals.

How did this mess begin? Like this: In the United States, season 4.5 (with numerals) was released early to tie-in with the end of the show. A bit later, the seasons began to be released in sequential order starting from the start: One, Two, Three, and then came Four (roman letters all) without any regard to the previous release of 4.5 (which was discontinued).

In the UK, they took a different approach. They divided season 4 into two sets -- "Season Four" a.k.a. "4.0" (the first 3 discs) and "The Final Season" (the last 3 discs) ("The Final Season" being what we in the US called "4.5").

So:

In the US, if you are starting to buy Battlestar Galactica fresh (without ever having owned any of it before) all you need to buy are One, Two, Three, and Four (and also buy The Plan), and you'll have everything. You do not need to buy 4.5.

In the US, if you already bought the discontinued 4.5 and can't get rid of it on ebay, you could buy Season One, Two, and Three from the US, and then import Battlestar Galactica 4.0 from England (which contains the first 3 discs of season 4), (and also buy The Plan from the US), and you'll have everything.

What is the song that the crew keeps hearing bits and pieces of that eventually leads to them all meeting and realizing they're cylons?

It is not All Along the Watchtower.....it's just instrumental and it sounds middle eastern....maybe has Zitars sp?

Great job by Universal in screwing over everybody that bought 4.5 when it came out. Here in Norway they released "The Fourth & Final Season" as one box, with Razor included, guess we lucked out for once

I been moaning about this all year. Ive even emailed Universal several times. the UK version is the perfect solution for me as I have everything but 4.0 on BD. Ud think maybe someone at Universal might have suggested this.

Very strange, but I still see many copies of Season 4.5 on store shelves. I honestly think it should go OOP since the entire 4th season is already out in one set. I don't see why anyone would want to buy it at this point. It will just lead to confusion.
