BUT

I REALLY want to get this but don't want the Blu-Ray book combo. Does anyone know if this will get a standard BD case release?
You should buy an empty case (3 discs) online, get on your computer, and make a creative cover!

Enough debating how the movie was made, people, this is an outstanding release and this thread is coming to a screeching halt!

Someone else noticed this happening in a later episode though I haven't checked yet.
I just watched that episode last night and didn't notice, but I was doing other things. Will check tonight. That's pretty odd.

The time code is 1:29:32 on disc 1.

Just got my copy from amazon today! I just watched the shot of Obi-Wan that shifts AOR and yep it does shift just for the one shot of him running to Anakin say "Hold that ship!". Very interesting.

You're definitely right about that. Maybe that scene was filmed in IMAX.

Okay, joking.

Weid, what about the composition compared to previous shots?

The preview on StarWars.com showed that there was still quite a bit more information at the sides going from 2.15 to 2.35, it's not being matted off.

I wonder if it's an error...

So it appears to be an error in the original animation. When this shot was rendered they must have had it flagged to 1.78:1 instead of adding black matte's to it. As a result, the Blu Ray is actually showing more on all 4 sides. See my Picture below with the broadcast version superimposed on top of the blu ray.

I don't too much remember the Clone Wars movie, so basically it's like this.

A stand alone movie with the first 3 episodes included or bits and pieces from those episodes included?

Ive been enjoying my season one set; finished first two disks, was ready for more until I realized my disk 3 was another disk 2?!?!??!!? Ordered thru Amazon, and no issues sending it back, but what a bummer...gotta wait for the 3rd disk...never seen a manufacture error like that. of course, had to happen with Clone Wars......

That happened to me with Lost Season 4. Disc 6 in the set was another disc 1. It had been like 6 months since I purchased it, but the store still took it back.

The movie is not 3 episodes sticked together or edited. So, no. If you buy the S1 set you will see totally new material.

Really enjoying watching this one with my boy, who is 7. But why oh why did they have to bring Jar Jar Binks back?
