To date, what is the best picture quality (and sound) blu ray release for a popular title?
Looking at buying a couple and would need english subtitles. |

The best Blu-Ray discs of Bollywood (Hindi) titles released so far, are:
Non Indian Video company: 1. Saawariya (Sony) 2. Jodhaa Akbar (Bodega 'Region B' with French sub-titles) Indian Video company: 1. Pyaar Impossible (YRF - Home Entertainment) 2. Rocket Singh: Salesman Of The Year (YRF - Home Entertainment) 3. Ghajini (BIG Home Video) |

Thanks for the recommendations. Which ones of these would fall under the comedy category?

Completely agree with Sanjay here
Non Indian Video company: 1. Saawariya (Sony) 2. Jodhaa Akbar (Bodega. A Fantastic transfer. You should buy this to see how much detail can be seen on costumes and artwork and can appreciate how much particular Asutosh was with arts and costume) Indian Video company (from what I have seen so far): 1. Heyy Babyy 2. Kabhi Kabhi (except some black crush it looked great on my 1080p PJ) I just received Ghajini yesterday. Will watch this weekend. |

Even if one can "fix the video settings", I think we should not be recommending to people that they buy inferior and defective products. The only way to get companies to deliver quality BDs, is to reject their defective & inferior quality BDs.

Completely agree . I hate to change my settings and I think we should have BDs correctly authored in the first place. |
