Got an email from yesasia today:

With reference to the following item 'Evangelion: 2.22 You Can (Not) Advance. (Blu-ray) (English Subtitled) (Limited Edition) (Hong Kong Version)' in your order, the expected ship out date has been revised to Jul/07/2010.

Looking on yesasia's listings it seems only the limited edition was delayed.

I'm a little disappointed since I canceled my preorder for the Japanese Blu-ray when I saw this was being released and I've been looking forward to watching the movie.

The PQ quality is great, about as good as 1.11.

Can't comment on SQ because I dont have my sound system set up but it should be even better than the first as it has DTS.

I can not get the link to work. All it show is the Japanese version. I can not compare the HK version. Suggestions?

No idea. When you place the mouse cursorover the picture, that is the Japanese version and when you take the mouse cursor off the image, that is the HK version. If you look carefully at the exposed face on image 1, you can see some artifacts on the HK and the text to the left is blurrier on the HK version.

Wow, that is annoying. Still, I'm not going to flip my current BD and buy this edition, since the special features aren't that compelling, and whenever Funimation releases a proper BD50 of 2.22 (in 2012 perhaps) it'll have the special features then.
