NO hes just f'in with ya. I just replaced mine, although my tv was under warranty so they sent me a replacement bulb free of charge. But im sure it would be easy for you to open up the back of your tv, to get the bulb out, My tv has a little black door with one screw holding it in, i take that off to expose the bulb and the bulb just pulls right out in a encasement. Google replacement bulb for whatever your tv model is and find a good reputable site that will ship you one out

i have a 50 inch Sammy, i replaced the bulb. What i found out is you can buy just the Bulb or bulb and carrage. Just the bulb is cheaper, by i thing 50 bucks.
but to put it in might not be that easy. read the MANUAL. good luck. |
