Book of Eli / Samsung BD1500 Bonusview problem/solution - Blu-ray Forum

Just bought Book of Eli from Rogers rental store in Canada, Bonusview would not turn off during playback, neither the Bonusview button nor the info select would work.

I found a solution: Using the Pop-up Menu, select "Special Features", then select "WB Max Movie Mode", turn this ON, then re-select and turn OFF. This was the only way I found to get the BV picture-in-picture to disappear w/o going for a firmware upgrade...

Just thought I'd put it out there if anyone else with this Samsung player was having difficulties.

Well, Samsung have just released some new firmware for this player; at least in my region, so this may be a solution for this problem.

Samsung BDP-1500s and all of the models before that series STILL to this day have firmware issues with man titles. Samsung has the worst track record when it comes to reliable BD players.
