Default Anyone here use TotalMedia Theater 3 Platinum?

I recently purchased this software for blu-ray playback on my PC. Whenever I use TMT3 through Windows 7's Windows Media Center, my screen will flash black for a fraction of a second while watching a movie every 1-2 minutes. It doesn't happen if I use the software directly. Anyone here know how to fix this problem when running it through Windows Media Center?

Update: I didn't get the flickering problem with a different blu-ray movie when using TMT3 through Windows Media Center.

PCFan, why are you running it through WMC? TMT3 works just fine on it's own.

Default No issues here

Have you patched TMT3 platinum to its latest version?

As I use mymovies, I catalogue all of my dvd/blu rays and choose films using media centre also. For me it helped getting codec packs for the different filetypes ( Sharks windows 7 codec pack and a few others work well )

I also had to configure my mouse, as I could not find a way to pop up the onscreen remote using media centre.

If all else fails, use TMT3 direct, however it media centre is your preference, make sure that you have updated:
  • Any codec packs you have
  • your graphics card driver
  • your blu-ray drive firmware
  • your soundcard driver

Also, try turning off the harware acceleration. When I tried playing Avatar, it flashed all the way through until I turned this off. Also be aware that when you change settings in the media centre version of tmt3, it doesnt change them in the main version. You need to do this twice if you use both ways.

You might also consider looking at extra software from you GFX card manufacturer. I know NVidia do its own codec pack compatible with its cards and media centre.

Since doing the above more regularly ( I check about once a month for all the above updates) I have noticed a marked improvement in play across the board and by turning on/off hardware acceleration within TMT, this also has meant no more problems.

Default Side issue re TMT3 and media centre - sorry to hijack thread

Does anyone know if the onscreen remote can be turned on or used in the Media centre version of tmt3 or if there is a more general onscreen remote plugin that will work?
