Default Fox get's TV adaption of Hitch

Is the intention to turn the date doctor into an action star or is the romance in the series just really rough? I guess that would be a fresh approach to an adaptation that was attempted as a half-hour comedy series at CBS but never made it to pilot.

Alright...well I hope it works. Hitch is one of my favorite Will Smith movies. But who could possibly replace Will Smith?

I could see this working but I don't think it'd be easy to make it consistently good, sounds like the kind of show that would be very similar to Sex in the City.

Totally agree! Also, who will they get to replace Eva Mendes too?

I had a feeling it would be kinda like How I Met Your Mother where it's narrated by Alex Hitchins, but be more in tone of the original movie. I honestly agree though, it sounds like it would be something to keep consistently good.

That's a good point, she was really good in that movie as well. As was Kevin James! Now that I think about it I like most of the cast and can't see most of them being replaced

I never saw the movie, it was about a dating expert though right? The previews made the movie look really unappealing because all I really remember was Will Smith having a giant bloated face, assumed it was an allergic reaction?

Awe man this film is great. One of the best in its genre. Great balance of comedy, romance, & a bit of drama. Will is a dating expert and helps people get dates or gives them advice on how to approach someone and be successful. Excellent film though. U should check it out. Got Em!!

The weird thing about the previews is about 30% of the trailer is not in the movie, guess all that stuff got left on the editing room floor.

I'm with the others that really liked the movie, but I'm not sure if I would be interested in the show or not. A lot would depend on who they get to be the stars.

I've only ever liked Will in his serious work. I don't like his comedy. So I doubt I would like it. But I may check it out if it's ever on tv.

No one can replace Will...So I'm not sure I'll actually tune in when/if it makes it to TV. Just don't really see anyone replacing him and James, who were both incredibly great in the movie

Definitely watch it if you happen to see it on TV. It's a great movie, really funny. One of my favorite comedies of the last 10 years. It's just a really good movie.

I think we all agree, no one has the charisma that Smith has. So they really need to get a great actor to play that role. But I'm skeptical right now.
