Amazon France customs charges in US? - Blu-ray Forum

I've ordered from Amazon France close to a decade now and for the first time, I've been hit with a hefty customs charge. IBC Customs Brokerage is demanding $50 in customs duties. They said that any order over $200 US is charged and because Amazon uses Chronopost to ship. My order was around $230 US. What's the deal with this?

Yep thats the case. Not much you can do about it. You even have to pay tax on the shipping fee! Just keep your orders to a smaller $ amount in the future. If I have a lot to order I will break it up into two orders.
