Mini-synopsis on Variety

There is very little in terms of English review of this Korean production based on Japanese novel (by the lead actress' husband, Jinsei Tsuji) with Japanese cast, filmed in Thailand. The movie stars Miho Nakayama (former J-Pop singer and lead actress on Love Letter), Hidetoshi Nishijima, and Yuriko Ishida in a love triangle where one has to choose between his career, sultry lover, and devoted fiancee. The movie was directed by Jae-han Lee (Eraser in My Head) and plays like a grandiose Korean melodrama. Online reviews from Asia have been sharply divided between those that love it or hate it. I loved it. It pulled all the right strings for me, and only somewhat weak last 30 min detracted me from giving a much higher recommendation.

This HK Blu-ray from DeltaMac is barebones, but it features a very nice highdef picture and sound. English subtitles are excellent.

Audio: Japanese in dts HD MA 7.1 or DD 5.1
Subtitles: Optional Chinese or English

Very Highly Recommended for Lovers of Melodrama
