Thanks a lot for the review, I will buy this. I have only seen the Non-US version and hearing how awful the US Blu Ray was I definitely wanted a version like this.

Thanks for the review, but you did not mention if the sound was "enhanced" with added sound fx, which totally spoils a film for anyone who has seen the original version with original mono sound.
I dont mind 7.1, 6.1 whatever as long as they use the original sound elements and not add phoney sounding new ones over the top which is what they tend to do with older HK films on Blu ray, i.e. The Bruce Lee Classics...

Funny how a certain group of "asian forum members" still still insists its an upscale even when (A) a top ranking reviewer on a respected site such as this gives it a positive review; (B) forum members such as Sky Captain and myself (who actually own the disc and are at justice to judge the transfer however we choose) speak favorably of it while (C) they're basing their opinions entirely on screencaps. Its insane! lol

That's cause they're actually a bunch of tramps, resigned to having to trawl DVD bargain bins for their fixes,
while us blu-ray owners lord it over them like kings.

Thanks for the good review.
You dont mind added sound fx?..that really is one of my pet hates, its not original so i wont be buying it.

No I dont mind. Not unless its like the Bruce Lee set where they layer new foley effects over all the punches & kicks. Or Dragon Dynasty's Tai Chi Master where it just sounds completely horrible. Ive actually been enjoying K&R's 7.1 remixes becuz they accomodate my home theatre set-up and they sound reasonbly good.
