Default As I Suspected: The Mechanic IS An Analog Addict!

Picked up the BluRay release of the new The Mechanic on Tuesday. Lo and behold! the likes of Jolida ProJect and Ortofon featured prominently along with a nice vinyl collection. At the end of the movie this little analog rig really shows off some incredible dynamic slam. Blows the whole freaking house down!

Cool to see some vinyl love in the big time movie business. Nice going!

No idea why this thread made me think of it, but the new show on USA, Suits, has an attorney with tube gear. The whole left wall of his office is full of vinyl. Its kinda neat. The show's soundtrack for the pilot was good also. Anyway...back to our regularly scheduled program.

another reference to the resurgence of vinyl is the green hornet. some how kato puts a turntable in the car. LOL

during a lot of movies though, especially pans of peoples homes I usually see nice pieces of equipment turntables and speakers. I tend to point them out to my wife in order to enhance the WAF.

not sure if it works but it's worth the try i figure.
a bunch of stuff.

I too often notice the rigs prop masters put in scenes of movies and TV, whilst previewing the movie at a friends house I rewound that part several times to check out the gear (I know). And as a whole the movie pales in comparison to the original. Yet I loved the stereo and the "E" type
