is the trailer misrepresentative of the final film - yes. But did the filmmakers dumb it down to the kid factor - nope. One youngster at the screening I saw was in tears at one of the deaths of the animals - calling them wussies is mean and unfair, yes some of the scenes are honest in what has happened and I think that parents might really have to a discussion on what's being protrayed on and off screen. The original French theatrical version of 'March of the Penguins' featured some more harrowing scenes that was edited out of the US version. Even 'Oceans' was edited for US/Canada theatrical/home video release.

Well, it is a doc. So what was the point of bringing kids that are 6 and under. Show them the movie when they are about 10. Too young to go see this type of movie in my opinion. Stick the kids in front of the TV with Jake and the Neverland Pirates instead.

I blame the parents in this example. The parents should know better on what age demographic to take to the theater. Will the kids take anything useful away from the viewing, probably not. It's like taking a baby to Disneyland - will the kid absorb anything from that experience? No. Will they remember the trip when they were older? Probably not.

Thanks to the parents for taking 6 year-old-and-under kids, and ruining a good movie with a poor review.

Again... the trailer misrepresents the actual film. Go watch the trailer. There's no sign it's going turn into what it does.
Bat-Mite: "Batman's rich history allows him to be interpreted in a multitude of ways. To be sure, this is a lighter incarnation, but is certainly no less valid and true to the character's roots then the tortured avenger, crying out for mommy and daddy."

Batman: The Brave & The Bold - Legend of the Dark Mite.

You're telling me that this is the only trailer that you've seen in your entire life that lies to you?

Wanted to get this today, but at $29 and hardly any bonus features, I thought it was a rip-off. And not to mention no coupon . When I bought the first 3 Disneynature movies on blu (earth, Oceans, Crimson Wing), I think I paid around $19-$21. However, since this is not a Disney Animated Classic (DAC), the price will eventually go down. Got Lion King 3D instead as the price isn't going to go down on that one and it'll go back in the vault in two years, right next to Walt's cryogenically frozen head.

I'm sure African Cats will be lower in price around springtime at Walmart.

maybe I missed it, but I've never seen Oceans go down below 20 dollars in price. With the recent Amazon deal, I managed to get purchase African Cats and Oceans for 30 bucks total.

I just wish there was an audio option just to listen to the music score and remove Samuel L. Jackson's annoying narration on the African Cats disc

With our dollar about the same, we are getting hosed up here on Blu and DVD prices.

With Target moving up here in 2013, I hope it shakes things up a bit, but I don't think it will.

You have to keep your eyes open when Walmart rolls out their special racks - usually on gift giving holidays or other special days like Father's Day, Mother's Day, etc. I'm pretty sure I've seen them for less than $20 in there, and also around $20 at Costco. However, with the Walmart racks, you never know what will be in them - they just preselect a bunch and put it out there.

same here.

i wasn't sure how Mr. Jackson would come across doing the voice for a documentary. but he did a great job, imo.

his changes in volume, tone and attitude in his voice were spot on.

i was just waiting for him to say, "this is Fang. He's one bad mother-f#%*&@!"

but an excellent job all the way through.

Does Farce of the Penguins count, since Samuel L. Jackson is the narrator of that too?

Hope this gets a Blu-ray release:

Hidden Beauty aka Pollen.

http://www.disney.co.uk/disneynature...hidden-beauty/

Cannot find any more information on it, apart from that on the UK Disneynature website. Strange, as they have only released The Crimson Wing on Blu-ray in the UK. Earth was released by Lionsgate.
