Getting my new TV and blu-ray next week. Bought the VT30. Should be fun
Anyways, ordered; A Turtle's Tale: Sammy's Adventures Legend of the Guardians: The Owls Of Ga'Hoole (since I heard so much good about it on this site, awesome site btw!!) Despicable Me Journey To The Centre Of The Earth. Like 9$ Guardians was about 28$ but I mean, I guess it's worth it. Of all the movies this was the most expensive one. Sammmy was 23$ for example. I order from a site called Zavvi.com(UK) In Sweden they charge a bit to much for 3Ds imo. Also got Saw 3d and Sanctum 3d at home. Getting Avatar 3d for free as well. Then the STAR WARS saga on blu ray, god damn that's going to be insanely nice. No 3d indeed but christ.. lay back and may the force be with you(me). Last edited by Nizyo; 02-02-2012 at 09:42 AM. |

Another Swede?
I'm not sure if you ordered everything from Zavvi or just the one movie but Sammy's Adventure is actually available in store in Sweden. And just to warn you, if you ordered Journey to the Centre of the Earth for 9$ it's most likely the anaglyph version, sorry
Looking for these 3D Slipcovers, shoot me a PM!
Step Up 3D; Green Hornet; Alpha and Omega; Sammy's adventures; Hybrid; Lorax; Resident Evil Afterlife |

Yeah I know, but I saved a few SEK by buying it from Zavvi. We'll see about Journey. They've got plenty of 3ds in that region so I'm not 100% convinced. Time will tell. If not it should be a pleasant blu-ray experience, even if I've seen it before. Edit: Just went to amazon.co.uk. Holy shiet they're cheap :O Hugo pre order for 14£ for example. Yes surely the price is better, always is. Though the price on Amazon aren't the exact price when you order to Sweden, maybe you knew that already. It's not a huge difference on a single item but for a bigger purchase it piles up, you can read about it here if you didn't know.
Personally I prefer Zavvi anyways

Does anyone know what makes a 3D movie a "Limited Edition"? I've done searches on the Web and can't find an answer. There may be several reasons but I can't find any. Does it mean a limited number of copies will be sold, etc?

Back before Blu3D, for example, Journey/Center released an early anaglyph version at only a fraction of the numbers they were releasing for the regular wide-release 2D, and it was deliberately hard to find for the collectors' market. (And Netflix wouldn't stock it.) I suspect that to be the same with studios wondering how widely to release the B3D's of Hugo and Tintin compared to the mainstream versions. |

Watched Puss in Boots in 3d today. I was pretty impressed with the 3d.

Where/when do places have sales on 3D Blu Rays? I know BB sometimes does. I personally think $30-35 is too steep. Can we maybe get a thread going where people post deals? Is there a site that does this?
