car: lotus elan s1 '62
color: cirrus white

I used.......

1) Suzuki GSXR4 (?) for the 400pp
2) Audi R8 V8 (restricted) for the 500pp
3) Zonda R (restricted) for the 650pp

First 2 won by about 40 seconds, the last at Nurburgring about 12. Mainly because a Ford GT LM car started first and was miles ahead by the time my driver got into second place.

I used the Zonda LM the first time and passed for the lead on the last lap on the back straight. Raced it a 2nd time last night with the McLaren GTR race car and was in the lead halfway thru the first lap. That was using my level 32 driver M. Schumacher

I did but I'm back down to ~17.5 mil after buying a few more last night. I'm saving up for the Chaparral 2J if it ever shows up in the UCD again. I may have to wait another two weeks for the OCD to update though. I'm trying to get all the Race Cars but I know the 2J costs the most; IIRC isn't it almost 14 mil?

My issue was I was using my worst driver and the McLaren GTR started in 1st place.

Yeah, That was my way of saying the OCD didn't have a whole lot this time around.

I used:

1. Mini Cooper '11 (It took 3 tries and upgraded tires to win)
2. Suzuki GSXR4
3. McLaren F1

It started first the first time I attempted it and it took the whole race for my driver to pass it.

I was pretty disappointed with the OCD update. The only thing I really wanted out of it was the Zonda LM.

If anything, observers and professional drivers believe that the type of course (oval circuit) poses a greater danger to open-wheeled participants than the vehicles themselves.

An equally scary crash of Katherine Legge at Road America in Champ Car .

Also what F1 does not have is the safety crew that champ car/ IRL has .

I don't remember all of the details regarding this crash, but apparently she walked away with just a few bruises to her legs.

I think this is an interesting topc for discussion. I wonder if we should continue this in a new thread in the Sports forum (rather than highjack the GT5 or Formula 1 thread).

Patch 2.04 is out, 79 MB.

Quote:
A new update has been released for Gran Turismo 5.
The main contents of the update are as follows:

- Improved the performance of online races to provide a better racing experience. However, please note that using voice chat by 12 or more players can reduce screen refresh intervals.

- Reduced wobbling of the screen when using the Chase view. (The Chase view is when the car is viewed from the rear during races and replays, selected by switching views using the SELECT button)

- Electric cars (opponent cars and your cars in B-Spec) will now pit-in automatically to recharge the battery.

- Reduced the amount of steering pull when using force feedback steering wheel controllers in banks of tracks such as the Special Stage Route X Oval.

- The initial force feedback of Logitech steering wheel controllers when driving formula cars, has been made milder, and was adjusted to make it easier to drive in a straight line.
Applicable controllers: Driving Force™ GT, G25 Racing Wheel、G27 Racing Wheel, GT Force®Pro, GT Force®、Driving Force™, GT Force®RX and Driving Force Wireless
Applicable cars: Red Bull X2011, Red Bull X2010, Ferrari F10, Ferrari F2007, Formula Gran Turismo

[Correction of Known Issues]
- Fixed an issue where speedometer, position and/or best lap time is sometimes not displayed on the 2nd player side of the 2P Split Screen.
- Fixed an issue where exhaust noise is heard even after changing from a combustion engine car to an electric car in the same online race.
- Fixed an issue where if the game is started without signing in online and then saved, the cars and tracks included in the Racing Car Pack and Course Pack would become unusable.
- Fixed an issue where electric cars would not recharge in the pit and become immobile.
- Fixed an issue where when the oil of the Toyota Prius was changed in GT Auto, the motor ceased to function correctly.
- Improved the force feedback of the Guillemot Thrustmaster T500 RS, where the 10 level adjustment of feedback force (Especially when using the X2010 and X2011) was not working effectively. Also improved a condition where it was difficult to drive in the intended path.
- Improved the force feedback for the Logitech Driving Force™ GT, G25 Racing Wheel, G27 Racing Wheel and GT Force®Pro, where the 10 level adjustment of Feedback Force (Especially when using the X2010 and X2011) was not working effectively.
Apparently you can sell DLC cars now too, but don't know for sure.

Very happy about the change in feedback when driving Formula 1 cars. Driving Indy oval was a workout when using the X2010.
