I don't have a camera good enough to take quality screenshots, but my friend Josh was nice enough to bring over his Canon EOS Digital Rebel, and took these for me:

You can see the full sized pics by double clicking on them in my HT gallery.

I'm slowly building up the funds to blow on a projector... I can't wait.

If you like to watch movies Jeff, It is the only way to go. Just think of your TV as being 8 to 10 feet wide & 4+ feet tall. With a good projector the PQ is the same as the TV.

Looked for a cool screen shot I took, This screen is 8 feet wide & about 3 1/2+ feet tall ~ 106" dia.

Yeah, looking in hind sight, I really really wish I would have bought a projector instead of my VT30 and kept my old 50 inch Samsung Plasma.... oh well.

PS you should pick up the movie The Tree of Life and give it a test run on your projector. You may not like the movie, but the cinematography, picture quality, sound effects, and audio quality are 10/10. It's the movie I use to reference my gear to my friends.

Same here. I've been stuck with a 42" plasma for years now, can't wait to upgrade to 120".

I'm a few months away from putting money down on a house, so naturally the first thing I'm gonna want to do after moving in is build a dedicated home theater room.

How about moving sceenshots....

I recently loaded this one up more for an audio test than picture representation (though the iPod really doesn't do low frequencies well at all, even with an external microphone attached...bass is lacking in all the videos I've attempted to say the least, presence and definition is just not there.)

As far as video image quality this is as good as I I've been able to get with the iPod:

BD/DVD player: Oppo BDP-93
CD/SACD: Yamaha DVD-S1800
Receiver: NAD T747
Amps: (F) NAD PE 2200 (C & Surround) NAD T955
Speakers [Polk]: (F) RTi-A5, (C) CSi-A4, (Side) FXi-A6, (Rear) RTi-A3 (Subs) 2x DSW PRO 500
Displays: (Primary) Epson 8350 w/ 92" Elite Screen (secondary) Samsung PN43D450
Misc: DSPeaker Anti-Mode 8033 Bass Equalizer

Well I've taken down my projector setup and a new one is not coming back till I move into the new place at the end of the month and start to finish the basement.

I'll be kicking tires in here while living vicariously through you people...

I find it kind of strange that no one has posted a single screenshot of any of the OT Star Wars movies.

I imagine those being one of the first movies I play when I get my projector. Heck, I'll probably spend an entire day watching all six.

If Lucas wouldn't have cheaped out and used the old 2004 dvd transfers for the Blu Ray set, it would be worth posting screen shots....
