(a) That's why you need ways to play region-locked and PAL/50Hz discs just in case.
(b) If they actually issue new discs of the 12 EON Bond films that were previously region-locked (CR 2006, issued by Sony, was region-free), they will likely fall under current Fox policy, which is to make them region-free if Fox or MGM owns the rights worldwide (as with all Bonds except CR 2006). Unlike the U.S. (where the boxes still say only Region A regardless of actual region locks), if the film is region-free Fox UK packaging will say so.

I agree that you need a multi-region player "just in case."
However, Amazon UK will take discs back that will not play in the U.S. That is my "fall back" guarantee in case you do not own a multi-region player. I've bought many discs that Amazon UK said were Region B but played just fine in the U.S. So take a chance! |

where did you base you assumptions that these were region-locked? from the AMZ website? AMZ usually does those region coding even here in the States.

Though no one will know for certain till it's out, given current MGM/Fox practice this set will probably be region-free in both U.S. & UK. I expect more differences in terms of packaging and/or extras than region locking.
