Try it you'll see! ...The colors are all wrong, greenish, and the picture is all distorted! Just unwatchable!

Soooo, you have to manually adjust the HDMI Deep Color Out each time you change from 2D to 3D, or/and from 3D to 2D,
with all the Blu-rays.
Very annoying if you ask me. ...But thanks for at least resolving the issue with 2D Blu-ray movies.

[You shouldn't have to readjust that setting each time you switch from 2D to 3D! OFF for 2D, and AUTO for 3D.]

Sorry to hear that man. So you think the deep color setting set at off is causing the weird color issue? I would check it but I don't have 3D display.

This might be a very silly question, but if you're using this with a non-3D tv is there an option in the blu-ray menu to turn 3D capability off? I would like to buy one for the other features it has but have no use for 3D. I do have one movie that has both 3D and 2D versions on the same disc and I have no idea if it will automatically select 3D if I am using a 3D player.

If you haven't figured it out already, there is a setting where you can turn 3D off.

The disc loads, the Lionsgate logo and score animate just fine, but then the screen goes black and the BD counter displays only dashed (- - - -) forever.

How can I watch this movie on my new BD-570? I have the latest firmware (M04.R.787)

Do you have your player set to "do not allow internet connection" for BD live? Also, make sure you have a memory stick inserted or have the player set to use it's own internal memory.

It is not even connectd to the Net. I do my firmware updates via Disc.
What do you mean, "make sure you have a memory stick inserted or have the player set to use it's own internal memory"?

update: I checked my settings, and even though I'm not online with it, its set to "Do Not Allow".
update: I checked the settings, and "Use Internal Memory" is "on"

My updated question is, can I just plug my portable USB drive (the 4gb drive on my keychain) into the slot on the front as the "memory stick" you speak of?

I am hoping someone on this thread maybe able to help me.

I purchase a S570 from the US (I am in Australia) with DVD free & Blue Ray chipped for region free.

I did one firmware upgrade no problem but on the last firmware upgrade (M04.R.787) I lost the ability to have region free blu ray (it is now locked to Region A)

Has anyone else experienced this problem and secondly is it possible to go back to the previous firmware?

That depends on the "noise". All drives, any drive, will make some sort of sound, quirbble, load, or spin sound.

Just like ya can't have light without heat, ya cant have drive movement without sound.

Tried again and no go. It is also making a noise now that it used to not do. Almost a humming whining sound. Hard to describe but I'm sure it did not do this in the past. It's not loud enough to hear over a moie but it can be heard before the movie starts. Oh well seems no one else is having a problem with Rio so maybe it's just the BD player. It's in my daughters playroom so I just play the DVD version instead. Maybe a new player for them in the future.

My discs have problems loading but once I get them to play they play flawlessly. How are discs loading?

They load fine as long as the disc is ultra clean. Even a fingerprint locks them up entirely. Perhaps my laser needs to be cleaned?
