Can any Russian/Ukranian blu-ray.com forum members confirm these specs for sure? I know that the Russian DVD was 1.33:1 with English subs. I'm not sure what the original specs were.

My Russian is pretty bad, but according to that site:
1. The blu-ray has English subtitles
2. The DVD was full screen, but the Blu-ray was cropped to be widescreen?

Discussion on rutracker.org does not give the definite answer about the release's source but most likely it's a bootleg based on German release.
The remux does have English subtitles.

How can it be a bootleg when it's selling at respectable Russian online video stores?

At oz.by? It's a Belarussian store. Note that oz.by does not mention the publisher. IMHO, it's a sign of bootleg.

Russian legal online shops (ozon.ru, kniga.ru, bluraymania.ru, mersi.ru) do not have the title on Blu-ray, only on DVD. Blu-ray specs at oz.by is a sum of German Blu-ray (Czech and German audio, German subtitles) and Russian DVD (Russian stereo, Russian & English subtitles).

well, that just sucks! Now I got to worry about getting blu-ray bootlegs from Russia!
